  1. Hey young one, I'm the guy you towed back to Picton bay a few weeks ago. Want to thank you again! I'm glad karma paid you back with the double digit PBs. Fyi We were able to get the belt replaced by 9 the next morning. Definitely didn't have the same results that weekend as you though.
  2. Hey,

Saw your post on hand made jigs. What head shape do you use? Can you send me a pic of some finished product?

  3. Nice boat!! Is that the Canadian model? I use to run a simialr rig, mine was black though. I loved it and Im sure you will too, Congrats!
  4. Sweet fish and even sweeter rig!
  5. I had a simialr situation as you. I needed to refinish my canoe very recently so I called Roger Carlise Canoe Repair in Milton 905-659-0883. He gave the option to do the repair himself or allow you to use his shop, tools etc, at a small fee. In my case, I paid him to do the major repairs to the haul. He then showed me exactly what to do for the remaining touch ups to save a bit of money. I would honestly call and talk to him to understand exactly what your dealing with, he's a really nice guy.
  6. Hi All, I know there are numerous boat rentals available on Rice Lake, but which rental company would you recommend? Here are the factors I am considering Quality of boat, location on the lake, price Im looking to rent for 1/2 day. Thanks for you help.
  7. Thats NASTY!!!! I've never seen that growth on a walleye that small. Normally I see it on the bigger guys, 7lbs plus
  8. Damn that sucks you lost the musky! Hopefully it will not be 10,000casts before the next one. Good job on the smallies and eyes, what type of structure were you fishing?
  9. nice job Joey, I had a day similar to that last week in the exact same structure. Weeds with a 12-14ft drop off. Did you get a read on the water temps?
  10. What did they charge? if you dont mind me asking
  11. thanks guys, I checked out the product and it looks really sharp. The only thing I was concerned with the strength of the shield but given the fact that its stainless steel it should be ok. I'm going to put it on this week. Thanks for all the info.
  12. Would a Skegshield be as strong as a weld? http://shop.keelshield.com/index.php?main_...mage&pID=38
  13. the prop doesn't seem to be wobbling at full throttle but I am worried that it may began to crack the seal in the lower unit because two of the four tips on the prop are slightly out of shape. The skeg is not broken off but there is a chunk missing which is exposing the prop more then i'd like. I'll have to look into JP weld, and the replacement skeg cover at BPS. Both great ideas. Thanks guys
  14. Does anybody have an idea what it would cost to fix for some minor dents on a stainless prop and weld a new skeg on?
  15. Hey, Like some others have said above, your Montana will be able to tow the 14footer no problem. I had a similar situation last year with my boat, a 17foot Ranger 170VS with a 115hp Motor. The Montana is able to tow up to 3500lbs and it pulled my rig with absolutely no issues. Grab a Class II Trailer Hitch on Kijiji and you'll be set for under $150 dollars. Good Luck, hope it all works out.
  16. Thats a monster deer. Besides walking through the woods, is there a certain method to find more sheds?
  17. There can be no forward motion in the boat while shooting. Therefore the engine needs to be off and boat must be in one place of that situation to be legal.
  18. I have a simialar situation, I am also in Richmond Hill and have storage problems. Does anyone have any info where the boats can be stored?
  19. nice job those fish are beauties. How'd they fight?
  20. snagmasteral, I demand a recount!! I saw you guys stuffin your fish with weights. lol Good show!, we'll have to it that again
  21. wow! that is a beautiful fish. Congrats!!
  22. Limerick is a decent operation. He has a few cabins which I have never stayed in but the main lodge is clean. The owner is a retired Yankee and has done a good job turning the marina around for all the cottagers who use it for lake access. Stick baits, flippin jigs, and plastics in cover will work. Be patient and you eventually find some fish. The only "problem" that I found with the lake is that there is so much cover. You just need to pick through the small ones to get the big guys to hit. Good luck
  23. could be the plugs. But I ran into a similar problem last year with my Mercury DFI. I ran old gas through the lines which clogged the Feul Filter at top speed. When the engine would rev at a high RPM it seemed to just putter out. Similiar to your issue. Depending if your engineis 2stroke or 4stroke bad gas can cause some nasty problems. Id take a look in that direction as well.
