  1. Because I like new vehicles.
  2. I buy a new vehicle every 3 or 4 years, always pay cash and never finance, if you think that makes me foolish, then your entitled to your opinion.
  3. Snagging big ole bass is cheaper than $50 for store bought musky baits
  4. Yeah, I can hear it over your way Norm, guess we're getting round 2
  5. Lotsa great cars there Brian, thanks for posting them. There's a classic car show over in Bridgenorth every Monday evening that I go to some times. That '58 Impala has always been one of my favorite cars and if I ever find myself with an extra100 grand I don't need I may just get me one LOL When I was a kid in the 50's in Toronto my grandmother lived just north of Christie Pitts and just around the corner from her on Christie Street there was a dairy that had a milk truck just like the one in your video. Don't know of any other dairy that had one and wonder if it's maybe the same truck. Pretty kool rig anyhow.
  6. We had heavy rain with lightening & thunder from around 2:30 till 3:30 but it's cleared out now and even seeing a bit of sunshine. Right at the height of the very heavy rain a boat was running down Clear Lake, sure hope his bilge pumps were working
  7. And I hope those pics include some big slimers too Rich LOL
  8. I thought I heard something about him dying a few years back ...
  9. You've got that right Shaun, this big girl came from Katchawanooka which is one of the smallest lakes in the Kawarthas. And I don't even fish for bass.
  10. If there's any truth to that old expression, today could be a bit nasty from the looks of this mornings sunrise.
  11. Interesting you say that Norm, many years ago I used to fish bass in the Otonabee south of the 115 and would toss white spinnerbaits into the waves made by passing boats as they broke along the shoreline and always did well.
  12. Have a great day Bruce and hopefully you get into a couple. I'm the same as you and haven't fished the Kawarthas in a few years now.
  13. The place is really coming along beautifully Dave and thanks for the constant updates with pictures, it's always very interesting to follow the progress on a job like this.
  14. Lotsa great pictures there, thanks for showing them.
  15. I needed a power handle for a Calcutta TE and it was cheaper to order it from Shimano & have it shipped from their outlet in California than it was to order from Gagnons in Oshawa and have it shipped 75 miles north to my place. Sometimes it's cheaper to order from a long ways away rather than local.
  16. Yeah, doesn't get much better than that Bruce LOL
  17. The neighbors stopped by for breakfast this morning this morning and brought the younguns with them
  18. I had no clue how to post pictures either Brian and used to take my prints to some joint in Toronto called ...I think...computer cafe or something like that. They'd scan them and email them to Cory who in turn posted them on the board for me. My computer skills still haven't improved much since those days but at least now I can post the odd picture
  19. I'd never touched a computer in my life until 2002 and knew absolutely nothing about them, infact I had little interest in them. My wife had one though and I decided maybe I should see what it was all about. She showed me the basics and said I could probably find some stuff about fishing. I started putzing around and came across the "the real fishing" website and started following links.....although back then I had no idea what a link was. Eventually it led me to the OFC site and it seemed kinda interesting so I started reading it and decided this computer stuff was pretty good. Been hanging around ever since. And howcum everytime I type OF..."ENN"...it comes up as OFC ??
  20. Here's a link back to 2002 which is when I joined up. http://web.archive.org/web/20020402153808/www.ontariofishing.net/cgi/messageboard/view.pl
  21. All my rods are in gloves when in the storage locker, sure makes life easier when pulling one out.
  22. Thanks TJ, that was a great story and it's amazing how fast your kids are growing.
  23. As mentioned Shane, they were chased away with an airhorn and haven't returned in several days.
  24. My bud got an air horn and blasted the geese everytime they came near his property, plus he put a bunch of those 12" windmills around and it seems to be working and he hasn't seen a goose in days now.
