I switched from tin to glass 6 years ago and it's the best move I ever made as far as boats go.

A long time friend of mine who's been dead now for many years was in his garage one night with 3 buds. They were all drunk and looking for more booze. They found a gallon bottle on a shelf marked alcohol and they drank it. My friend woke up hours later totally blind and his 3 friends were dead. Turned out it was wood alcohol (methanol) My friend never regained his sight but he was the lucky one.

If it has a motor, I don't lend ANYTHING out.

Some great stories here guys and love the old truck Wayne, don't remember those myself. Wish I could find my 1st ride but I spose it's gone to that big scooter place in the sky And Phil, you've got a great memory

Great story Steve, here's another one About 25 years ago I was doing some work at my folks house and dug up this little fire truck. It was a favorite toy of mine that I played with when I was a little kid about 35 years earlier and had been lost. I cleaned it up and painted it and it now looks as good as new.

I took Harpers words exactly the same way Craig Ritchie did and never saw anything wrong with what he said. He simply stated that no refugees or anyone else would receive anymore that any other Canadians do. Seemed like just a normal thing to say as far as I understood.

I took down a 15' spruce in the back yard this morning and while cutting the trunk out below ground level I came across this knife buried about 6" below the surface. Both the guard and cap on the butt of the handle appear to be made from brass. No idea on age but my property was cleared from the woods 13 years ago so I'll guess that's when it was lost. Anyways, I'm gonna clean it up and probably hang it in the garage along with a bunch of other worthless stuff I call collectibles

What excuse did they give you for not honoring the warranty ?

It's a deal, come and get it

I've sold a bunch of stuff on kijiji and have never had any real issues but you sure do correspond with some oddballs. Earlier this week I listed a rather large item for sale and within a day I received an email from a person saying he wanted to buy it but only had a small car. He asked if I'd deliver it to his house about 15 miles south of me and said he'd give me an additional $10 for gas. I told him I'd gladly deliver it if he couldn't put it in his vehicle but he'd have to come to my house 1st and pay me in full. Never heard back from him again

I had another bear in the yard again Sunday night sometime, I didn't see him but he left me a 5 pound greeting card

My last boat was a 1650 Crestliner which I bought new in '99. I drove it for about 9 years then sold it to a buddy who's still driving it today and it's still in great shape.

Yeah, he insured it before they headed north but your right Gerritt, it was really sad, I talked to him and his wife quite a bit afterwards and they were really upset about it all, brand new boat destroyed and a vacation they'd waited all year for ruined.

I was up on Nipissing last month and the OPP towed a Tracker into our camp after the guy hit a rock. Busted the bottom of the boat wide open like a pop can but it stayed afloat with no trouble. I was actually impressed with how well if floated with the gunnels still well above water even after the boat was towed about 5 miles I'd imagine any boat would have split the same though after hitting that rock. Felt sorry for the folks that owned that boat though, they'd only just bought it brand new a week before and had just put it in the water for the 1st time 3 days before the crash.

My summer rims are 20" and my winters are 17" I already had the 17's from my previous truck and there was no need to change them.

2 Top Bass tourney competitors caught red-handed

Bunch of comedians here this morning -
My daughters new 2014 Honda Civic came with Continentals Joe and after a year she's very happy with them and from what I see they seem to be wearing very well. She uses dedicated winter tires & rims though so I have no idea how they'd work on ice & snow.

8 or 10 years ago myself & a friend entered an on-line musky tournament thru an American musky board. It was for anyone in North America and each month you were matched against a different team. There were 48 teams and each month the winning teams would advance to the next round and the losing team was eliminated. The tourney went from June thru November and you were awarded points for each musky caught. The only stipulation was you had to show pictures of each fish caught and give the size of each one and other than that you were taken on your word for your catches. Each picture had to have an item in it with a different object each time and you were only told the day before the match what the item would be. It could be a basket ball, beer glass, stuffed toy or whatever. This was just to prevent anyone from posting an old picture of big fish. The best part was there were absolutely NO prizes awarded to the winning team other than bragging rights and the 2 years we fished it there was never even a hint of anyone cheating...nothing at all. We beat out 47 other teams the 1st year and came in 1st place and the 2nd year we came in 4th out of 60 teams. I think as soon as there's prizes, specially big money purses, your gonna have cheats and I don't know how you can eliminate that. Stinks that it happens, but that's life and ain't nuthin gonna change that. This is one fish I entered and you can see a CD disc hanging around my neck This is another fish and I've got an egg beater around my neck -
Never heard that one before Brian, any reason given as to why it's illegal to have yellow letters ??
-
The only thing I don't like about the MS2s is the fact I have 20" wheels on my truck and that size tire doesn't come with the white lettering that I prefer.....oh well. I've got Perelli Scorpions on my truck now that came OEM when I bought it in '13 and while they ride nice and so far are wearing well their not the best tire on a wet road. I've got 30,000 miles on them now and when I take the winter tires off next spring the new Michelin tires will be going on.
-
Obviously not meaning to be insulting Joe, but are you sure you were running those tires at the proper air pressure ?? Just seems so odd that some of the best tires on the market would fail like that within just a few years of normal wear.
-
I'm putting LTX MS2 on my F150 next year and your's is the 1st bad thing I've ever heard about Michelin's Joe, infact I had them on a previous truck and found them to be fantastic. As for using All-Season tires for the winter, I'd never do that and ALWAYS use dedicated winter tires and rims...but that's just me.

I'm wondering where Wynne plans to house the 10,000 refugees she wants to bring to Ontario.
