Definetely slower than last year duber, but the warm weather is starting to move in and hopefully things will pick up in the near future. That 13+ pounder sounds like a real beaut and has a definite shot at winning the tourney I'd say, infact it'd be good to hear the final results if anyone gets the info. With the water being up a foot from last year, that'll sure make life easier for us getting our boats in & out of the narrow, shallow channel from our camp too. Last year was like trying to motor thru a mud hole Thanks for the update guys.

Yup, I've still got some of my supply from last year too Art, but thanks anyhow. I applied the 100% Deet at Lakair, and the darned stuff worked so well, even the folks in North Bay didn't see any blackflies

hmmm, thanks boyz, I'm wondering if the late spring / cooler waters have slowed down the bite somewhat this year ?? There's usually some decent fish brought in opening weekend, and taper, it'd be encouraging if the news about a 13 pounder prove to be true I've got a sneaking feeling though that we'll be getting some good news tonight or early tomorrow morning from Team Jen/Sonny/ Easton and Mike the Pike Oh well, I don't need the action to pick-up for another 12 days yet myself

I drove from Toronto to Kingston then back to Toronto yesterday and musta seen 100 boats being towed on the 401 in the Quinte region, so I'm assuming at least a few of them were OFNer's lookin for pickeral. I crossed the Napanee River and it seemed quite high so I'm hoping the water levels in the Bay stay higher than last year. Anyone have any luck yet ??

I think Michelin is a name that is automatically associated with a quality product, just like the names Shimano, St. Croix or Crestliner. I have Bridgestone Duelers on my current 2005 Safari and so far I'm quite happy with them and they seem to wearing very well and ride comfortably but when the time comes to replace them, it'll definetely be with another set of Michelin LTX

I bought a new Safari in 96 and it came with Michelin LTX and they were incredible tires. I put 100 K on them before selling the truck and they were still in excellent condition. I'll 2nd Jer's recomendation

Your right about the Lowrance service lundboy, I've been in there myself and they go outta their way to help a customer and will stand at the counter for as long as it takes. They'll also install any product updates available free of charge while you wait......at least they did for me.

Well, the way I look at it, forget about the fishing aspect of this thing and treat the guy just as he should be...a THIEF and nothing less. What he did was no less than some punk sneaking into your home and stealing money from you. He knew what he was doing and his whole intent was to rip off the guys who were trying to win the money fair & square. Throw his azz in jail and toss the key just like they should do with any other thief. Oh yeah, and ban him permanentely from ever fishing with honest folks again too.

That's a deal we can definetely work on Mike, muskies open June 2nd and I'll be on the water most of the time from then, right thru till the season closure. I've also got all the gear you'll need too.

I've normally got at least 20 various birds in my yard at any given time eating from the feeder, but today I have a new one I don't recognize. Everytime I go into the yard he heads for the trees, so I had to take this picture from inside the house and shoot thru 2 windows so it's not very clear. About the size of a robin with a totally black head, and his whole back, including the top of his tail is also black with white markings mixed in. His entire underside including the bottom of his tail is pure white and there's a large, very vivid red patch on his chest. He's also got a thick, heavy looking beak but I doubt it's any kind of woodpecker.. My bird identification book is up at the lake but I'm curious as to what species he is. Any ideas ??

It took me 2 minutes just to open this thread and reply to it. I've had a problem with this new board since it started last November. All the other sights I go to are lightning fast, but some days this one is so slow I just turn it off and forget it.

We always had stickers for the old OFC board but don't know if they're available for the new sight or not

I'm with you all the way on this one Terry, and have thought the same thing for years, it's absolutely moronic to have 1 day off in the middle of the week, then go back to work for a day or 2, then off for the weekend again. Doesn't give you enuff time to do anything at all with the day. I always figured the 1st Monday of July would be good for the holiday though, that way everyone could enjoy the long weekend, then only have to put in a 4 day week and then off for a couple more. Just show me where to sign
