  1. I ate the 1st musky I ever caught some 40 years ago.
  2. Beautiful fish, congrats on the PB. Folks that criticise others catches are the reason many no longer bother posting stories or pictures.
  3. I'm not a hunter Jacque and am curious about your tactics here. Is the idea to put food out for the deer, then hide in the shack and kill them when they come in to get something to eat ??
  4. You'll do that much this Saturday
  5. Nice one Brian !! Seems like a few of us saw some of natures finest work to-day !!
  6. Nice chunky fish for sure, congrats !!

    B1 Today

I remember the 1st November OFC g2g we had at Quinte a few years ago and it was extremely rough, but the only boat that was swamped was a big bass boat. They sunk that boat down in the water all the way to the gunnels and the 3 guys aboard were up to their knees in water. Some guys say their OK for rough waters, but when it gets nasty out, I'll take a deep-V anyday.
  8. WTG Rich, good to hear you guys enjoyed your trip !!
  9. Thanks Skip, it's always nice when the critters stop by for a visit
  10. Does a double rainbow have 2 pots of gold ??
  11. ....When it starts out with a beautiful double rainbow
  12. It's a coincidence that you posted that because I've had a young eagle flying overhead for the last hour. He's cruising up & down the shoreline so I spose he's searching for shallow swimming fish. Smaller than the adults I posted the other day and this guy is very dark with a black head. Still a beautiful bird even when there young. Here's a couple pictures I got of him.
  13. I agree 100% and it's sad when someone can't post his own personal opinions about something around here without others trying to belittle him.
  14. Awesome fishing boys, infact very impressive !!
  15. You won't be getting any pike from Buckhorn.
  16. There's never a scrap of food or any type of garbage left outside around here Bruce, absolutely nothing to attract them.
  17. Waaaaaay back when that picture was taken Bill, I don't think National Geographic had been invented yet
  18. I've also used Compre musky rods for quite awhile with no issues, but a bud once bought a St. Croix Premier musky rod and it snapped on the very 1st cast. Guess there's flaws with all the brands.
  19. Couple very nice fish there Tom, well done. Lower Buck is one of the prettiest lakes in this area and one I used to fish alot, but sorta got away from the last few years. Looks like I should re-visit it again
  20. Just for comparison, here's some pictures of fresh bear tracks I just took a few minutes ago out in front of my house. You can see the toe prints but no sign of claws. And here's some fresh poop mixed in with the tracks so I'm assuming it's also from the bear. We had alot of rain here yesterday so these tracks were probably made early this morning before any cars obliterated them.
  21. Very nice !!
  22. Marvins put on a few pounds in his old age so the birds may have a problem lifting him now, but we do keep and eye on him when the eagles are around. One of the neighbors did tell us recently though, that their cat went missing and they figure it was grabbed by a big owl they'd seen in the area several times. There was another bear right at the end of my driveway this afternoon and he may be more of a concern to the dogs around here than the birds. There's at least 4 that live in the bush behind me and they get seen all over the place at all times of the day and night.
  23. That's my Dad and brother with me at the family deer camp north of Barry's Bay. Sorry for the hijack Mike
  24. I used to wear them too Mike, but much lower than yours, course it was about a gazillion years ago....1959 I'm the funny looking kid on your right with the axe at my throat
  25. That would be the famous Handlebarz dood
