  1. Thanks Rob, sounds like their finally growing. I'm not heading back up for another month so hopefully they'll be good by then.
  2. You & your brother have some great times together Rob, I always enjoy reading your fishing tales. How were the weeds this trip, I was up on the West Arm a few weeks back and they were practically non-existant ??
  3. Your much better off with a decent net rather than a cradle, specially if your gonna be fishing alone.
  4. Some very impressive pike there, specially that 42"er, she's chunky from one end to the other !!
  5. As Mike says, Memqusit is a great place and I've stayed there a couple times myself and will be going back in August for another 2 weeks. Some excellent musky fishing in the area with some very nice fish. Another nice place is Mashkinonje Lodge just a few miles west of Memquisit, also on the West Arm. I stayed there last month and the cabins and new owners of the camp are outstanding and is another place I'd recommend. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CBwQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mashkinonjelodge.com%2F&ei=73TCU7bOEom1yATW8IG4BA&usg=AFQjCNFF5F_8NXO_6P2FPvvzMdpB6FaP0w&bvm=bv.70810081,d.aWw
  6. The snow did alot of damage everywhere last winter but it sure looks like you brought Jiggy back together with some great work TJ, the place looks really impressive now. Can't believe how much Jaden has grown and that picture is hilarious
  7. Atta boy Brian, beautiful fish.
  8. Thanks for that link Snowball, it's a good map.
  9. Got my fingers crossed for you this year Rich, your due for sure.
  10. Very nice fish indeed !!
  11. You can still get plenty of fall muskies casting in the same locations as summer fish, infact it can be very good fishing.
  12. When a pike comes in and misses the 1st hit it usually means he wants it, so you should be tossing it right back at him and giving him what he wants rather than switching colors. He liked what he saw the 1st time, so chances are he'll hit it again, specially if he was aggressive 1st time around.
  13. I can believe that Matt, their a popular bait in your area.
  14. I was gonna say something earlier in this post Brian, but thought I'd leave it up to you
  15. Good to hear your trip north was so productive, you boys boated some really nice fish !! I'm only about 5 miles from Lower Buck but haven't fished it in years, perhaps it's time to give it another go
  16. Seems like Fudally's are a very popular musky bait on the Ottawa.
  17. I always used wire on my musky set-ups but got tired of them kinking with every decent fish. I switched over to 130 pound Seaguar fluoro 8 or 10 years ago and have never had an issue with them. I make my own leaders using crimps and # 5 or 6 snaps & swivels and use 10" for jerk/twitch baits, 16-18" for casting and 48" for trolling. Excellent stuff.
  18. Try these guys in Buckhorn north of Peterboro, their great to deal with and rebuild props, but not sure if they can do your hub while you wait. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=5&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CFIQoAIwBA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.buckhornyachtharbour.com%2F&ei=lBK8U9fRCIatyASOw4GoCg&usg=AFQjCNEsq8k-6mp6zpQntR3tP6J5Pw_xCQ
  19. You'll be very happy with it Bill. I was looking for something to protect my boat a couple years back and Slowpoke put me onto the Rocktamer and I'm glad he did..
  20. It was just a tiny Cayman and was caught around 6:00 o'clock. Cute little guy too LOL
  21. None taken Brian LOL
  22. That'd be brutal on your trailer, worst I ever did was around 50 miles on a gravel road in Quebec and that did enough damage to my boat trailer.
  23. Sorry about your friend Cliff, I've also lost a couple friends the same way and it's very sad to see someone die like that. Always seems to be such a waste of a life.
  24. We were posting the same time Dave. Sounds like you travel on some VERY nasty roads up your way and I can just imagine the damage you guys have to put up with. Be pretty tough to keep your rig looking nice I'll bet.
  25. It is pretty slick Bill and does a great job. It can be adjusted up or down to get close to the road and the width can also be adjusted to put the flaps right behind the wheels. . It fits over the draw bar and when your not using it, just hang it on the garage wall till you need it again.
