  1. With polichinta and chestnut puree for desert
  2. Nice it looks like my old neighbourhood. But we don't stay put long, Merry Christmas !
  3. It worked perfectly 2 weeks ago and I didn't use since, it was cold out I wonder if that makes a difference...
  4. Nope the trim works fine and the clicking seems to be coming from the other part/cylinder beside the one with the rod coming out of it. It's kind of bullet shaped
  5. Finally put the boat away for the season and while winterizing I noticed a new clicking noise when lowering the motor. Anyone know what that means? Aside form more money?
  6. Water driven pumps as a back up are the best under rated device you can add. Been in construction my entire life and if I had a house with a sump I would put one in without doubt. Provided you are on city water...
  7. Brilliant! Good Luck and enjoy
  8. Even though I did go bass fishing I did find myself thinking the same thing. However the bass there were giants compared to them here... 5lb fish are the smaller ones. I think it also depends where in Florida you are so if you are in a quality ocean fishing area,do that for sure and catch something you can't get here
  9. The only problem I'll have when testing it is I can only get to it in the school after hours during the week. No weekend access And it gets dark fast now so I'm nor sure I can pull of an in water test . I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for your help
  10. Johnny it is true I didn't leak test it. I was nervous and alone and it is my first boat. I did a compression test etc. It was a rookie mistake , it's been epoxy painted so it looked like a brand new boat. Never judge a book by its cover I suppose...The water coming in is minor for the way I use the boat as I mentioned. Just enough to be annoying. And yes weight is a factor. There is indeed a mark/ small dent on the bottom from the trailer sitting in a bad spot between ribs or rails on the bottom. I'm gonna tighten as many rivets as I can, seal it up as best I can from the inside and fish it's ass off as I did up till now.
  11. I was just in Orlando last month and went fishing with a guide Justen Moore 1 (321) 689-1941 . It was awesome! I went for 4 hours and put 16 fish in the boat and one big turtle . The little ones were 3-4lbs and the big ones 8-9lbs. He was great, you get exactly what he promises, I couldn't have been more satisfied. If in Orlando area he's a great guy for bass. if it wasn't so hard to post pics I would,as I have done good ones...here's his wen site email [email protected]
  12. The boat rarely stays in the water it's more a case of me having the opportunity to fix it indoors, off season... I'm a master electrician, so quite handy. It's just the ones that you can't get to that are concerning me. Also kind of concerned about putting it together and it still leaking because I messed something up! I can tear a house apart and put it back together with an addition or even a second story and have not a single question. Boats not so much...
  13. Irish you have quite the reputation! Thanks for the advice. So, the boat astonishingly enough was beautifully painted but not water tested beforehand. The guy who I bought it from restores them as a hobby and never put it in the water. So it's in "new" like condition, except for the leaks. Will I be able to seal from the inside with these products? And what do you suggest for any spots under the strips/mouldings or ribs on the boat? Apparently they are impossible to get to, and a product that can be poured in and will seep in to those areas was recommended previously. Thoughts?
  14. Hi folks, I bought a boat this past summer its a 16 aluminum, side console with a 40 that runs great, love the boat! Just big enough for the kids to tube off of and very comfortable for a pair of fisherman. The only problem is it leaks a bit more than Id like. After sitting out a night on the water there's enough water to wet a couple feet of carpet at the back. I have to pump it out at least 2-3 times a day while out on the water. Its a bit more water than im liking. I have an opportunity to take it apart indoors this fall and diagnose/ repair it. I heard gluvit was the best. Has anyone used it? Any long term reports or tips would be appreciated. Sheldon
  15. I had a 31 Deka in my canoe with a 30lb motor, it would last all weekend, so even smaller ones will do fine. One thing I had that was great was a minn kota battery box. It had great handles as the battery is heavy, built in circuit breakers and 2 cigarette lighter sockets, excellent for electronics and charging plus made for easy hook ups and tear downs. well worth the $60. Also Im a sworn Deka battery man, there may be others that are good but Ive always, always been happy with Deka
  16. Ok I booked a guide hes supposed to be great, but whats he gonna say? fish-orlando.com is his site and the largies there are mutant huge mo full of it! Hopefully ill have pics to post and Ill figure out how to post them, when I get back
  17. I'm thinking of a guide for a half day. That's likely all Ill get to myself. its 275/half day on average
  18. I was there myself 22 years ago while backpacking. Likely a different trip mine involved alot more PB&J sandwiches and chasing a lot of girls with very limited success. Awesome pictures...
  19. Taking the family to Orlando for a week at Universal Studios etc etc. Ive noticed that there are a bunch of Lakes around. Anybody have any experience or advice to share on this? Any and all advice appreciated! Sheldon
  20. Once you've quit its important to reward yourself with some "treats"! with that saved money. After all if you quit you deserve rewards ! Because it ain't easy... I used to think twice about a $20 lure but not a $10 pack of smokes. And what I've found out is that I can loose a $20 lure just as easily as a cheaper one....
  21. Lousy day here too in Ontario windy, windy windy
  22. I smoked for 30 years without even wanting to or trying quit! I wanted to smoke, but once I decided to quit, I was terrified about losing my crutch. My wife found a stop smoking seminar, I took it, it was incredible! I walked out and haven't had one since. (And Brian I didn't even need her permission, did it all by myself -
  23. My boat came with one and it's a 1999, the transom is perfect. It's got its share of troubles but transom isn't one of them All the weight gets transferred to the trailer. Makes sense to me....
  24. Everybody likes Italo, except for maybe Henry Walchuck. I wonder if he needs some electrical work done ? so I can get in the show....
  25. Congrats 19 months for me
