  1. Tom, it's good to have you off the DL and back to active duty.
  2. We'll be at AK from August 4 - August 17. I appreciate your advice on colors and depth. I'm about 45 miles from Dale Hollow and 16 miles from Center Hill Lake. Several years ago I took a box of my home made Kwofit Hofit Lager to Larry and Sherry at Star Point. They knew what to do with it. Crazy Hoosiers! Google up "Photobucket" for a free download. It'll size your pictures just right for the board. I'll be on Nungesser for my first time ever and am looking forward to finding nice walleyes. Probably some huge pike hanging around the walleyes waiting for a stray to make a mistake. Hope you have gas money left over after Daughter's wedding. My best to the bride and groom.
  3. Harold Ensley doing The Sportsman's Friend was a good one.
  4. I was wondering how that big black motor and boat made it over the portage. Seems like a project for a winter road. I met rrichards in June and hope to see pikeman2 this season. I'll know who to follow so we can find big walleyes.
  5. You're welcome. Thanks for the photos. Jim picked up the skill from his dad, Ron Booi.
  6. Just checked Booi's brochure and prices were listed by the day. Nothing was mentioned about arriving late and spending the night at a gotcha rate. The charge could be justified if you had an unscheduled flight for your convenience and the plane returned to Red Lake empty. Flying costs are expensive. In May our guys went in the night before, fished about 5 hours, and were not charged. Also 7 of us stayed an extra day to accommodate the flying schedule and we were not charged for the extra day.
  7. Nice going. You got into some nice fish. Thanks for the report.
  8. If Doug's report turns out half as good as all this foreplay, it means he had a good week.
  9. Nice trip for you and your son. Thanks for bringing us the report.
  10. Great report. It almost took us with you. Mother moose likes your camera. Am I correct that you bleed your walleyes? Been doing it myself for many years.
  11. Gary, I'm glad you're around for #63. Testosterone poisoning can be a bad thing. It's taken it's toll on me.
  12. Nice going Matt. Boating those two sure beats sitting in the library at U of L.
  13. Way to go. You had a great day and brought us an excellent report. Thanks.
  14. Congratulations Dan. Tristan is a handsome young man.
  15. Nice fishing and thanks for the video. It also proves to Jim that you have all your fingers. He really fell for your finger cutting report.
  16. Great report Jason. My best to you and Steph for many happy years together.
  17. 44, glad to help. PM me anytime. I have no secrets. Fish were in transition from the opening bell as they could be found almost all over the lake. The only pattern was that there was not a specific pattern. Thanks for your report.
  18. Nice job guys. How can the two of you even consider skipping next May at LV?
  19. Bring those 1800 photos of walleyes. Load us up.
  20. TJ, I was thinking about fastening my line to the camera cable with a small rubber band that would break loose when a fish hits the lure. How's that sound? First I need to find some clear water to fish.
  21. Nice. First time I realized how sexy a JSM can be. Nice movement. How do you fasten the fishing line to your camera cable? Does it break away when a fish hits?
  22. I'm glad you guys had a good week on the water. Thanks for the excellent report. Gerritt seems to be doing well as he's into his second month in camp. You had much less rain and more green stuff growing than we saw during our stay. It looks awfully inviting right now.
  23. Mother Nature has a way of handling guys like you describe, but the bears might attack innocent people in the process. Not good.
  24. For sure Will is a trooper. Maureen a couple of drinkies would put you in the mood for a ride in the sky. Sandy, the rain is continuing to come down. Lake levels are at a 50 year high. One of our best fishing days came during the heaviest rain when Highway 105 was washed out in a couple of places. On that day the wind was calm and the temperature was decent. Talk about not knowing enough to get in out of the rain - that was us. Thanks for taking time to read my stuff. Connie
  25. Good deal. He'll be fishing with you in no time.
