  1. XLent. I too am tested by more than a few friends and relatives looking from above. A very close pal told me a few days before he passed " I'll be watching you". I really believe in that.
  2. Pick me up on your way up.
  3. Are you trying to fill the entire free data space of this website? With that crew to feed I would be keeping more than a few fish for sure. You can't put a dent in that fishery.
  4. I've run out of nice things to say. I see the headlines now. "Family of 13 fishes out Rainy River".
  5. If I ever catch another fish I'll be sure to make a report. I didn't have much to report this year, I'm not alone either I think. It gets difficult to come up with pronouns and adverbs other than the standards everyone posts on fishing reports so guys don't because it gets repetitive. Thus the like features. That election thread I started had well over 2000 hits when a great fishing thread started the same day earlier had 500 hits. A separate forum for all non fish related threads might be an idea, many have them. Social media has evolved since this site was created. I am a member of a NFL teams site and there is a forum there dedicated to anything else. A popular "anything else" thread is fishing, go figure.
  6. I buried the needle on my Dads 69 Beetle coming down the Burlington Skyway with a huge wind at my back. 100 MPH and then the front wheels came off the ground. I've hit 200 and something KPH in my 560SEC Benz but the VW coming off the ground was scary.
  7. That was Shag not Wormdunker. I read Akashag and thought it was a 1st Nations word. ha!
  8. I don't know what sequence they were in, you either gained 15 pounds or lost 15. That's a lot of beauty pics and fishes there my Man. The Dunker is looking old, when did he grow the grey beard? Kids are looking great.
  9. I won't eat the perfectly safe fish, so I'm told, from the lower Grand River or Hamilton Harbour either. I'd have to be starving to eat Chernobyl fish or game. I'll err on the side of caution.
  10. $95,000 USD for a new set of tires too! And that doesn't cover the cost to get the wheels to France and back again with the tires mounted, oh my. Maybe the next US Prez will get 1 bullet proofed for his motorcade. Or just out run the bullet.
  11. Speaking of good looking plates of food, 4 carbs on 1 plate Rick, maybe 5 if there's flour in the crumbs? For anyone that grates their own bread crumbs a few fish fillets covered in bread crumbs is almost 1/3 loaf of bread maybe more. Extra time in the gym today? What a Debbie Downer eh? I'm jealous as I don't remember what Pickerel tastes like.
  12. I know they have been around for a long time actually but an episode of a Velocity show building them reminded me. I have been saving enough to get one. Bugatti before Koenigsegg any day. Wormdunker, that's 125 bucks a truck tire more than I paid last year, nice Coopers. If I could pay less for a new tire I would.
  13. I can't seem to copy and paste anymore. Go to Wikipedia and enter Bugatti Veyron. It has more info than the Bugatti site. This car has always left my head shaking. This is the most expensive and that will get you the fastest production car in the world at $1,700.000 USD. The Canadian exchange alone will buy you a Supercar. A few crazy facts, W16 engine producing 987 BHP. W not V because it's basically 2 V8's bolted together. 0 to 100 2.3 seconds. Doesn't shift to 2nd gear until 120 KPH. Worlds fasted production car averaging 431 KPH Replacement tranny, $120,000.00. If someone can afford this rocket no biggie Set of tires is 25K and can only be mounted in France for a nominal fee of $70,000.00. What does 70K get you? Who makes this car? VW.
  14. I fish with a group of friends and we team fish, 2 or 3 boats for Walleye. We always catch more fish sharing areas, depth, tackle and technique than the group I go in spring with where everything is a secret. It's funny though when we are very successful team fishing there is usually 1 boat that shares less and less the more they catch, usually the most successful boat. The group eventually breaks down and everyone goes solo. Greed must be human nature. Any real or hobby sociologists here? I don't hunt but my impression is people usually "team Hunt" and share the bounty. Guys that Deer Hunt solo tend not to share their kill.
  15. That knife is really nice. I noticed it earlier. Multiple fish doesn't happen much for me but when it does I never know when to stop thinking I'll save some for tomorrow but that never comes. Just one more, OK one more and that's it, OK one more and I quit. It happens with Greenie Smallies here on small Black Fury's only once with Walleye on the Bay of Quinte, Big Island and Shad Raps. I have a spot that holds those small Smallies and where there's 1 there's 50. Hey Rick, if they were migrating Erie Pics your arm would fall off. That fish plate looks prettttty, prettttty good.
  16. Don't fall in,,,,,,,,,,,,,, again.
  17. Many out here in Haldimand Norfolk. Gary on the Town Line has a fridge full of farm fresh eggs, 3 bucks a dozen or $4.00 for 18. And some are so big the carton won't close. Some still have some feathers on the shells. Eat one of these and you will never buy those 3 week old eggs from the grocery stores again. Fresh vegs the closer you get to Simcoe.
  18. I feel very badly for the younger fans that weren't old enough or born even to enjoy (enjoy isn't strong enough) the back to back World Series wins. There is a base there on this club for the next few years. Things have changed which makes keeping a team together tough but don't forget we old timers watched them loose 3 ALCS series, KC, Oakland and Minnesota before they finally made it to the Big Show and then they won it both years back to back. I still have the Sun's page 1 from then framed, " BACK TO BACK"
  19. I should give a shout out to my Mom and Dad. Celebrated 63 years on September 26th 2016. They have been arguing about how the toilet paper should go on the holder for as long as I have been alive. Petty arguments may have kept them together for all these years. I have never heard them have an argument over anything serious. We are blessed to have them both with us. I don't have any friends that have both and very few have even one parent to complain about. They are a handful at 89 and 86 but that's something I have that many others don't and wish they did. Dad calls me to remind me the Ti-Cats or the Bills are on TV! He watches both religiously.
  20. A great trip for sure. Some big hawgs you guys got into, bonus. It reminds me of an old movie I saw. But in that one only 3 of the 4 returned. I can hear the dueling banjos.
  21. Beauty Lunge Gallie. Always wet the net.
  22. I'm trying to get to bed because we are heading to Lake St. Clare early for Musky. The first time ever going for them specifically on my own. I hope I need a grabber tomorrow. Nice problem to have Mike. If I see a 50" fish I'm going over board to grab it like Tarzan.
  23. He's a jinz. Last time we caught 1 and he landed it on my rod, 9 pounds, ask him.
