  1. It's a fantastic fish. Congrats to the angler. I'd take one half that size..especially in those surroundings.
  2. Name me one that's weighed in pounds. Unless you're saying that a 3 ounce rod is 0.1875 of a pound.
  3. Nah, everyone is behaving, me Brudder.
  4. I'm sure you won't be losing any sleep over it, Rich. Don't worry about it, most of us know exactly what you were talking about in the original post. Just keep enjoying your fishing as you seem to always do with whatever you use, wherever you are and whomever you're with. Be well. BTW, I have some #10 carlisles, some split shots and a poop load of Bushes Beans that I bought on impulse.... so, I was thinking.....
  5. Mine is Jeanne so I have that part covered.
  6. Thornes...once manufactured in Windsor.
  7. Agreed. We can even stretch that out to "Joey, Juli and Jen." So, all you single guys out there....do you see a pattern here?
  8. 4.2 pounds of propane is roughly one gallon at 60F. So at 3300 rpm you'll go 24.3 miles. If what they say is correct, the mileage goes way down at 4600 RPM.
  9. Taken from their site. Fuel consumption is similar to an equivalent gas-powered outboard. A recent test by Boating magazine found that the 5-hp Lehr could push a 12’ aluminum boat 4.5 mph at 3300 rpm while delivering 24.3 mpg. At 4600 rpm, speed was 6.2 mph at 3.1 mpg.
  10. A good reminder, Rolly. Thanks for posting it.
  11. A fishing rod as a stocking stuffer? Do you wear pantyhose?
  12. How long is it? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
  13. This is a strange first post. It'd be nice to see a quick introduction from you. Maybe even a short blurb on what the point of this poll is. Thanks and welcome aboard.
  14. Up until a couple of years ago, I seldom wore it. Now I always wear it if I'm alone in the boat and wear it sometimes when I'm not alone depending on conditions and speed. I run a tiller so it might be a little less cumbersome because of my proximity to the motor controls and trolling rod(s). I've lengthened the tether about 6 inches...enough to easily access things I need but still short enough to kill the outboard should I have a mishap. I also now wear my PFD at all times whether I'm stopped or underway.
  15. You can also wait til mid February and do the Tyler French event. Just a suggestion.
  16. Remember, you won't get an honest answer from her if you're holding an axe when you pop the question.
  17. Welcome aboard. I don't know how accurate this list is but here are the names of Ontario retail points. http://www.shappell.com/ontariodealers.html
  18. You pick the water and let's see what happens.
  19. Dana, everything seems to be pointing to a future outdoorsman there. Even his initials are "CO".
  20. Great thread Dana. Keep those picture safe. Later on in life, they're worth gold.
  21. Thanks Lloyd.
  22. Wow, you certainly are lookalikes. And yes, at this time of the year, float suits are indispensable.
  23. Great Report, Bernadette. Lots of fish and you look happy out there. I'm sure that Sonny enjoyed it as well. Thanks for sharing the day.
  24. Man, you guys did great, Dave! Did you manage to bring a few filets home at least? The water looks pretty calm compared to what it is today. Good timing for you.
  25. So let me get this straight. You won't post reports here but you want everyone to send you their reports privately?
