  1. Lew, I would hazard a guess that people using the gold maps are often people who keep their boat in the water and no matter where you live in Canada, the section you buy covers one heck of a lot of water. The hotmaps could be seen as being less usful in that for example, if you live in Alberta, there are only 4 AB lakes on the chip...not too cost effective for an Albertan. So it has to be sold a little cheaper to make people buy them. This is the number of lakes on the Canada hotmaps by Province: AB=4 BC=203 MB=1 NB=4 NS=3 ON=80 QC=125 SK=4 and there is also, on that same chip, one lake in Vermont and 2 New York lakes. Does that make sense? So, for the folks of BC, ON and QC the maps are a little more worthwhile.
  2. Thanks for the report. I see the makings of a few fisher peeps here. WTG.
  3. The boy is looking good...and Cheryl even better! He looks in great health. Are they up there fishing TJ? And that's one great looking hat there, Bubba.
  4. All is good here...the numbers are decent too!
  5. Thanks English, it's appreciated. Ok....everyone *GROUP HUG* :-)
  6. Man that looks like a good time! WTG, guys.
  7. Pick up a piece...you'll know whether it's green or dry. Sorry, I can't help you with suppliers.
  8. Rick is working on a new duct tape skin. It'll be Red Green.
  9. Congrats on the great morning of fishing! Thanks for sharing it with us.
  10. I always wear shoes in the boat but that's because I run a sloppy boat. As far as Marc is concerned, being on his boat is akin to being in the navy. NOTHING is out of place. If he has two rods out, there are only two baits out and they're underwater. You'd swear he has no fishing tackle. The only thing loose on his boat is the pliers and bolt cutters and they are hooked to the rod mounts with 4' stainless cable. But it is a good idea to make sure kids wear some kind of footwear.
  11. Can you not tie it when you launch and remove it when you take the boat out of the water?
  12. I think I put one up last year Darren. The shows will have to air first then we'll see if John and the others are ok with us posting it.
  13. What a great report! Thanks for showing us your tournament adventure, Shaun. You have some super shots in there. Congrats to the organisers and volunteers. Looking forward to next year's show.
  14. As a side note, the man with the yellow shirt is Marty and Tony's dad, Ed. He came to dinner that very night. He'd changed his shirt but was still wearing that very same grin. He was one happy camper and a great guy.
  15. Congrats to us all....a great achievement.
  16. There's something wrong with your slogan, Marc. They're all still smiling. Great fish! ps. I see under your avatar that you're still "almost a guide"......keep working at it.
  17. For those of you who are not accustomed to popping in there to see what deals there are...try it. It's a really active part of our community and everyone should try to use it. Here's a good example.....it just came up for sale...don't even try to bargain him down, it's too good a deal. Just click on classifieds
  18. I use it but rarely. Can't vote.....nothing matches my situation.
  19. Great great pic and you should certainly be proud and happy. A hearty WTG to your wife.
  20. Welcome back and congrats on the new member of the human race.
  21. Hey Dan...did you hear this one? I know I'll get busted for this but it's funny. http://www.bigducky.com/prank_calls/heterosexual.htm
  22. HAHAHAHA That lil' sweetie is going to do great things!
  23. You're right Mike. I might have assumed too much there. But the baits you show are generally referred to as "worm harnesses".
  24. God bless you and your family, Verno. A beautiful picture and a widened and well lit path for the rest of your life.
  25. JMHO but I wouldn't use spinnerbaits for walleye. There are so many far superior baits out there to be wasting time on a bait designed for esox and bass. Again, just my opinion.
