  1. Never tried one, Larry. Are they that good that you would NEVER use a Compre? You don't live too far away from me, did you buy it from a local dealer?
  2. Good job TB! Hundreds of huts were taken off the Larry last weekend. It always reminds me of Del Shannon's old classic "Huts off the Larry".
  3. Way to go Ron! Nice to see some dedicated folks at the helm.
  4. What BillM said. I have 4 of them and they're probably the best deal going. Put the $$$ you save into the reel.
  5. What Muddler explained, Coldh2oguy is what you see in this video. It's an easy and efficient way to get your bait to the depth you want. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8982920132224492285
  6. Yes, nothing quite like doing what you really enjoy for a living and it shows when you speak to him too!
  7. You're correct Dax...my mistake.
  8. In Lew's original post, he said it wasn't available.
  9. Very good stuff...welcome aboard.
  10. The Fortrex looks sweet, Lew. Getting the 80 or the 101? I bought the 24V, 70lb. Edge on your advice last season and it's running really well so I'm not about to change. The Fortrex looks really good though!
  11. Yeah...that clip should run on the getnorth.ca website.
  12. Yeah and I wouldn't be bragging to too many folks about having "outwitted' an organism with a brain the size of a breadcrumb. Another great mag, TJ and welcome aboard Pete Maina!
  13. What a great looking hat! I want one of those! But then I'd also want Jen, Teresa and Esther autographing it eh?
  14. HAHAHA Did I win something?
  15. Yes you can but they have to be connected in parallel...here's a link that will help you. http://www.nyc-arecs.org/Connecting_Batter...nd_Parallel.pdf
  16. Sorry to hear that Bernie. There's not much to say except what others have said....Hobbes is comfortable now.

Both Temagami and Lady Evelyn are on the Navionics Hot Maps. They were last year at least.
  18. Joe's been wearing lacy, ladies undergarments for the last 3 years now. Ever since his wife found them in his glove box.
  19. Paul, please note that Mirrocraft uses .064" or .080" on almost all of their boats EXCEPT the Agressor EXP which uses .125" on the bottom and .100" on the sides. There's a big difference between that boat and all of their other offerings. Another thing to look at is the architecture (framing). I don't think I'd worry much about the EXP. being flimsey.
  20. Great pics Bernie! You'd be hard pressed finding someone who doesn't enjoy those pics.
  21. AHHHHHH Lew....I can feel your excitement over the boat...and with reason. It's a beauty for sure. I don't want to hurt your feelings Lew but you know what I'd like to see? It'd bring a tear to my eye to see Eddy and you in that boat for the inaugural musky run. Dang that would be nice!!!
  22. Reel my friend, reel! I remember that like it was yesterday I think the Dawson man is about ready to do a no holds barred musky trip. That really would be great yanno.
  23. Nice report Senator. I enjoyed it. All 'cept the 747 bird pic that is. And, those threadfins are perfect baits wherever you are.
  24. I've never ever had a problem with Canadian Tire. I give them about $100 a week which surely isn't making them rich but I know what to expect when I go there. I've purchased things there that didn't fit, wasn't what I wanted, was defective...whatever, and have always had an easy time bringing the item back for an exchange or refund. I see Canadian Tire as a convenience store for anything you might need that's not food. It's Sunday and a faucet springs a leak... I can get washers there....that kinda thing. You want to buy something specifically for ice fishing? Go to a specialty shop. Don't complain about them not being so good at having all the latest and best products out there...it's just not their vocation. As for having in stock what's on sale..well....it's a national outfit and there are any one of a number of reasons why your particular location doesn't have it. It's not a big deal.....I won't get upset over it.
  25. Dave, quite the trinity you, JP and Paul form. Seems like you've put together a winning combination in a package that anyone within driving distance should attend. Congrats to you...I know you'll be playing to full houses and having a great time doing it. As for this thread and where it should be placed on this board, in light of the generosity and selfless things you've always done for our community (lots that most people don't know about), I'd post this thread along with any other endeavours you might be entertaining, anywhere on this board that your heart desires. Congrats to you, I know that this is another winner and thank you for sharing it with our community.
