  1. Glad you had a good time Goran. OK now...HOW MANY FISH were released??
  2. Yup, that's the one. http://www.worksmartontario.gov.on.ca/scri...category=health You wouldn't happen to be a union shop would ya?
  3. Thanks for the report. When they decide to start eating, you'll be ready to go! Some great pics there too! Hey Mike, what'll be open April 11th in your neck of the woods?
  4. Thanks guys, very helpful indeed...and not only to me I hope. Lew, you're right as rain. I'm sure there are some folks who think that all they need is to have the extinguisher on the boat. Kinda like the guy who buys a new vehicle and never reads the manual nor tries to figure out how the jack works or even where the spare is located. Thanks again, very helpful.
  5. Thanks Pete! Excellent answer to my question.
  6. Dem little buggers produce glycerol..helps them prevent from freezing.
  7. Nice pics Brian. They are snow flies.
  8. Looking through my boat stuff before I pull her out of hibernation and my fire extinguisher looks brand new. No rust nor dirt on it and the gauge reads full. I've had that one for 3 years, this'll be the 4th season. They don't cost a whole lot so I can get a new one but is there a way to know whether it's still good? Edit: When you need it is not the time to find out.
  9. Very nice Jacques! Congrats to you and Melissa on a great outing.
  10. That father/husband was spending quality time with his family when this tragedy happened. I hope that his family and friends can give him the support he's going to need to get through this. It's not going to be easy at all I'm afraid.
  11. You might also have to start rowing your bass boat eh?
  12. Welcome aboard...looking forward to your input.
  13. Great report, Bob. I can't for the life of me imagine how you'll manage without the ice fishing on the Great Barrier Reef! I guess you'll manage....my brother has.
  14. A super account of your outings, Anders. There aren't too many guys who could say that they went ice fishing with their grandmother either. Wonderful, congrats to you.

  18. The best way to anchor a canoe is to use two anchors. They don't have to be heavy....mushrooms are ok. Never anchor from the side of a canoe. Use one anchor at the stern and the other at the bow both secured with quick release knots to be able to break-away should you get unexpected waves.
  19. Really glad you had a great time Glen. Nice to see Bubba Lester in good shape too! It's a tremendous feeling to meet up with buds we get along with so well. I'm happy you both had a good day...thanks for sharing that.

Looks like we'll be hitting it tomorrow (Friday) sometime. While the mods and admin do a decent job, the congrats goes to the entire community for contributing cause that's what it's all about. I, along with a lot of other folks have been here a long time and we're always amazed at the number of friendships formed and the help that's freely given to others in this community. It's great to be here. Thank you everyone.
  21. Says March 31st in the regulations.
  22. The good news stories are always good, Lew. There are fewer and fewer companies/retailers paying close attention the their customers' needs. The good ones need to be congratulated publicly. Thanks.
  23. I didn't mean to offend you Ken. This is a community and one of the things members of a community do is help out our buds. I guess what flagged as strange to me was that when you registered to the board you were also at your bud's house. It just looked kinda weird to me is all.
  24. FANTASTIC news, Simon! Congrats to you, Mom and Jack!
  25. Sounds like a good deal Ken. But I do find it quite the coincidence that you have the same IP# as Chartertalk.
