  1. WTG Clive! Great report from the East. If you ever get hungry, you have a 10 fish limit on muskie there. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I kinda figured that, Jocko.
  3. And Jocko, you live there....a 25 minute drive for you, why don't you ask in person. A whole bunch of us are going to be there for a week starting Wednesday. Good opportunity to meet the gang eh?
  4. Why don't you email Kevin or Leslie and ask them?
  5. Good stuff, James. They look good for sure!
  6. I deal quite a lot with Luremaking.com. Go to their site and look through their stuff. You can also download their catalogue. They have tutorial pages as well. They really are super friendly folks to deal with and very efficient. They are also a sponsor of this community. The others mentioned above are all good too.....a lot of my friends use them and they seem to be doing ok. Good luck!
  7. Great report Pete! Glad you, Pat and the young'ns had a good time. You certainly hit a smorgasbord of fish there. Great pics too, thanks for sharing.
  8. Wow! Some very beautiful shots there Bud. Thanks for showing them.
  9. I never take off full tilt. Aside from being much safer and cheaper it shows that you have some common courtesy. When I'm taking off, it's usually from a dock or boat ramp. Creating a wake when others are approaching a ramp or launching or tied up at a dock or moored, is the mark of a boat ramp bozo. That's how I feel. You should prime the bulb prior to any cold start.
  10. Yep, the site's looking good Kevin and Leslie. Congrats on that. There are at least two pics of OFC gatherings used as page headers. The one in Terry's link is the very first OFC Lakair gathering. It was dubbed the Crayola Invitational undoubtedly because of the presence of so many colouful characters. The other header where we're pictured on the dock is a newer pic......probably 4-5 years ago as I see TNT (Todd) in there. Good memories. edit: I must add that the biggest surprise of that first gathering was the unexpected appearance of Spiel. He and Marty hit it off real good! There were even bears up there then banging on vans. I didn't witness too much of that though as I was busy and tied up.
  11. Well worm dangler, I hope you got an answer to your dilema and that everything works well for you.
  12. YJ here. It's kind of a neighbourly thing to do. I always wave and almost always get waved AT. But I sometimes notice that owners of other vehicles wave at me too. I think some of the friendliest are Mercedes owners. When I pass one in traffic and look in my rearview I can almost always count on them waving at me...well, it's kind of a wave.
  13. As most of you probably know, our June get together this year will be held at Lakair Lodge on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing again this year. We need to have a fairly accurate count of how many attendees there will be. For those of you who are planning on being there, You can post your name and number of people attending here. Thanks, we're looking at a great turn out again this year and folks who have been with us in the past know that it's the place to be the weekend of June 27th this year. Thanks, I'm really looking forward to it again this year....I haven't missed a year since the start in 2001 and have met so many great people there. Post now. Thanks

  19. A really great fish guys, congrats! Super picture as well, thanks for sharing.
  20. I have the same letter that ol Ben has....Only one day of practice you say? The season USED to open.....nobody checked the regs before calling a tourney. I had the regs in December! Financial impact??? 120 boats converge on two bodies of water....buy hot dogs, poutines and a hotel room...hell what more could we ask for? I applaud Mercer and DeRose for getting out when they did.
  21. I could translate it Jigger but it's like 100 pages from the MNR to the organiser to a bunch of other people. These are photocopies/scans of the actual letters....all signed. Interesting stuff. The strange part about it for me is that Berkley didn't have a lot to do with it. It was thust upon them by a few folks who needed a few bucks. I hope that the folks who are playing the tournament are safe and do well but I will never agree with it.
  22. Karl, the only names in there right now are Campeau and Wayne Izumi. Everyone else is out. I'm disappointed in how the whole thing went down. Is that what 'extreme' means? Fishing out of season? This MAY earn you a paycheck but hmmmm Make sure you have something to fall back onto. Sorry Bud but that's how I feel. It's illegal and you all know it.
  23. Too bad Gary is no longer with us. He certainly knew his stuff when it came to props and skegs.
  24. THREE??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  25. Yes she does, Paul.
