  1. You can also join the 50lb braid to the 80lb Fluoro using about a number 3 swivel.
  2. Double uni on both....maybe 7 wraps on the braid/fluoro knot then 5 wraps on the fluoro/fluoro should be good. Lube the knots before you cinch them down.
  3. A little more work but I think your best bet would be to do it in two steps...braid to a 12" 40lb fluoro then the 40 to a 12" 80lb fluoro.
  4. Is this going to be a semi-permanent leader?
  5. Are you planning on the knot going through the guides?
  6. HAHAHAHAHA Great story, Mike. Love it.
  7. Thanks Craig. Yes, I saw that one, It seems like a good ramp too...remains to be seen how busy it is in the warmer season and what kind of parking is available.
  8. Thanks for the heads up, Bob. It's not really worth my while because of the distance but for the times when I might already be there, it could be worth my while.
  9. HMMMM I think the ferry you're referring to is between Fassett QC. and Lefaivre On. and that would be the other way....east. The Cumberland ferry would be at least 45kms West of Papineauville between Cumberland On. and Masson-Angers, Qc.
  10. Yes, great shots, brings back my recollections of Big Cliffs best friend, Andy.
  11. It was very nice, Dann. Except for the few minutes lost being shielded from the one thoothed, 2mega pixel point and shoot toting autograph seekers, we had a fine day. Matt, just east (maybe 500 yards) of CM there is a baseball diamond and on shore there are dozens of fairly new docks waiting to be dropped in the water. There are a good bunch of picnic tables as well. Would you happen to know if that is a public launch? It appears to be . We took a quick drive up the road to Papineauville as well and there are a couple of launches there.
  12. Here's one for you Brian. I like this one. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/08e9k-c91E8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  13. That one was done by Rick, Bud.
  14. Here's the anthem from our very own Cliff (CCMT) Welcome aboard, wonderful introduction. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BIW590ZLv_Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  15. A couple more and we've got the last great recruits! Let'er rip!
  16. Maybe it's just 'exclusive' to the company who builds both motors.
  17. YESSSSSSSSSSSS Five more and it's a go! Thanks guys.
  18. Very nice Bernie! Is that Sunbrella, Top Gun? Or? Very, very nice.
  19. Good stuff, Miller. Thanks for posting. Thems is some fine looking fish. Oh, and pardon my spelling...it's called my Saturday morning orthography. Thanks again, great fish!
  20. This is the 164WS http://www.princecraft.com/aluminum-boat/products/Fishing-Boats/2012/Sport-Series/Sport-164-WS/overview.aspx. It's a nice boat. I still prefer a tiller myself for the space it affords me but hey, there's nothing wrong with that boat at all. Congrats on whatever you get.
  21. Not that many boats are really bad nowadays. I run a Princecraft and I like it. In my case, there are no Lund dealers in my area. In fact, the closest boat dealer to me is the largest Princecraft dealer there is, so my choice was also based on after sales service. Princecraft has very good resale value. If you have a reputable dealer of any brand and layout you like, within a reasonable distance, run with it.
  22. Let's start a drive to get 9 people in before Sunday that's all. Not a big deal and the more the merrier.
  23. Yup, for a coupla times a year the C3 or the 7000i. The 7000i is on special at Le Baron as noted by Sinclair.
  24. Anyone buying a C4 for muskie fishing will be disappointed. You will not be able to pull big baits with it.
  25. I wouldn't be running my trolling motor off the starter battery. Your starter battery is the only thing you have left to get you home. And if you must buy your charger from Canadian Tire and you must use only one battery, throw an extra $20 in the pot and get yourself this unit and just bring it out to the boat when you get home. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/3/Batteries/BatteryChargers/PRDOVR~0111567P/MotoMaster+Automatic+10%2B2A+Battery+Charger.jsp?locale=en
