Muskybugged Scott and Ruth are good customers of ours and I think you would have a great stay at the lodge. When were you planning on making the trip? I don't fish LOTW very often even though access at Morson and Nestor Falls is less than an hour drive for me (I prefer to fish the smaller lakes around here) Depending on the time of year you are coming I could make some suggestions for great ski and eye fishing for you on the smaller lakes around here (Fort Frances is only 25km away) Let me know if I can help Rick

UHHHHHMMMMMMMM pit outshot outchanced and for the most part outplayed det and yes Fleury did make some key saves (in the the third especially) but to say they got lucky cmon man give pit the credit they deserve I could care less who wins but i hope you are right about game 7 It should be a dandy just hope it is a close game

GAME 7

went fishing with a buddy a couple of weekends ago for walleye did pretty good but the smallies were everywhere here a a few from that weekend a couple pics are the same fish if i remember right these were a couple of the better ones this last one isn't the greatest pic but i was by myself this past sat morning gotta buy a tripod and figure out the timer on my camera

friend of mine who now lives in Thunder Bay is going to meet up with me in Mine Centre (where my in laws live) for a couple days of fishing Friday around noon we have fished a walleye tourney here in my hometown for the past few years but this year decided to just go out and have a nice relaxing weekend and have some fun gonna fish for eyes mostly but will probably do some bank fishing for lakers fri or sat afternoon gonna stay at a friends cabin for the weekend that is not on a lake but is a short drive to either walleye or trout lakes ( 2 minute drive) pics are sure to follow monday or tues There is a slot size for walleye on the lake we plan on fishing and I am thinking it would be fun to keep track of the inches of each fish for both of us and see who comes up with the best average size walleye maybe a cold beer to the winner Can't wait for Friday

well with the crappy weather we had on Saturday my son and I had to wait til about 1 oclock to go fishing. still too windy and rough on the lake to go to our usual opener spot so we fished from shore managed a couple small pike and one smallie that was it for saturday but sunday dawned nice and clear but we had to change the front tires on the father in laws bush truck as well as set up the clutch on his log truck good thing we had some help finally made it to the launch around 2 oclock and found this pretty neat spot it is an old cement piling that they have drilled a hole in for some reason maybe an old anchoring spot? got to the honey hole and dropped my daughters line down to bottom and grabbed my rod but didn't even have time to put a minnow on and she called fish on a nice start my brother in law got a nice one right after that but I was to busy digging out my outdoors card out to show the warden that had decided to pay us a visit so no pics it was about a 26" eye and a really white color to it in twelve years of fihing this lake for the first month of season this is only the second time i have seen a co on the lake hope to see him some more anyway between getting me daughter , son and myself rigged and re rigged i didn' have much time for more pics we caught a total of about 20 eyes and only were able to keep 3 that were in the slot size of 13 3/4 to 17 3/4 took the kids out again monday morning to fish of shore and my son caught this nice eye right where we launched the boat the day before i didn't fish much just enjoying the day out with the kids

Finally quit snowing and raining here now My son and I are gonna have a bite to eat and head out to a set of rapids 20-25mph winds right now and cold water makes a walk to the rapids and fish from shore the logical and sane thing to do still only about plus 1 right now though Rick

going to the in laws place and hitting the local lakes for the opener of walleye here although the forecast doesn't look to good for saturday rain snow mix with a high of 44 F Sunday and Monday look better though
