  1. Sorry for your loss Wayne. You have my condolences.
  2. Yes Glen, we both worked at Stelco. Myself and #2. The guy that made your knife, I met him years ago,I think he worked in the Mills. Nice work.
  3. I use Power Pro myself and it goes hairy also. Good hint: because it's so expensive, I reverse it on the spool, Spool end is new, gives you another few trips. I'm just being cheap
  4. As a kid we used to cut them out. As mentioned above they called them Lucky Stones because of the L on them. I used to lay them above my BINGO cards while playing bingo. Don't ask me how I made out. Some reason, I don't think I should have said I played "Bingo" (Spiel)
  5. Cliff: I just posted my boat in the OFC Classified.
  6. Yes Terry, from Stelco. 1 guy from Ford, 42 years service. 2 guys forced from stelco after 32 years after it closed. myself 38 years. the others 35 to 40. Myself and 7 other guys are leaving in the morning to Big Gull L. near Kaladar for a week Walleye fishing. I hope to have some pictures to post a report.
  7. As for leaving the decals on, they didn't say anything. We were thinking the same thing, but he's going to leave them on for awhile. How he won the boat, every day you fish you are aloud to enter one perch per day in the live release tank, doesn't matter the size, they check off your entrée ticket for that day and put your name in the drum. After the 3 week derby, they draw from that drum for the grand prize. Every year, about 8 guys in our group fish the Perch derby. They also release about 70 tagged Perch worth $500.00 to $5000.00. One of our guys also caught a $500.00 tag. I would say we had a good year. Some of our group One of our guys with a winning $500.00 tag Perch We put 8 days of steady perch fishing in. A lot of catch and release. It's not easy, we put our time in. But I can tell you we have a lot of fun. Great event for the family and all us kids
  8. Isn't that what you call someone??? If it's like Facebooks, don't want any part of it. I've heard horror stories about them.
  9. What a happy day for our buddy, we went and picked up his win yesterday. We gave him a shopping list for what he he needs for his new machine. I think he's going to Christen it this weekend.
  10. Beauty machine. Congrats, now go catch-em
  11. I use any glue stick. Just heat with a match. The broken peace comes right out as well. Works great for me. I carry a small peace in my box for fixing my stepped on rods. . Plus carry a bigger tip eye, case you brake a little farther down, on those BIG ONES I know Spiel, Shut-up farmer. Chris, what do you use for Stretch marks on your fishing rod
  12. $25. Thanks for the heads up Bill. Chris maybe we should try else were Wednesday.
  13. BillM, you don't mined, how much was the ramp at Innisfil? We were there last week when they were putting the dock in and was no charge at that time.
  14. Like Spiel said, the guy far right in the picture was the grand prize winner. He was in our group, I'm to the left of him. The guy was so excited when he got the call, he didn't believe the the caller and hung up, the caller called back and said something must of happened to the connection. The guy has never owned a boat, couldn't have happened to a better guy. The guy is in the middle in the picture This is the Boat he won. I had the pleasure of standing beside of his new machine I know Terry could fix this picture up, would of been nice to have him beside it.
  15. Palomar knot Pretty much covers things, easy to tie in the dark and when your half blind The other most knot is Snell when tying my hooks.
