ALL USA TV stations are now ONLY Digital as it's the law here. However, the digital signal is MUCH weaker then the analog signal so many that enjoyed USA TV stations will no longer receive them. But the signal that you do get is nice and sharp. One other thing is if you have a VHF and UHF combinder on you over the air antenna then this will decrease your incoming signal...all digital signals are now only UHF. Took me a few months to figure out why 30% of the time I could get signals on certain channels...took off the combinder and now I have a great digital signal. Bob

One last thing to think about and compare...... Rice Lake is a SMALL inland lake that the cottage owners don't want to allow ice fishing because of so called safety reasons but they want the limit raised from 300 to 500 fish or unlimited amounts of bluegills. Lake Erie is a HUGE lake that allows ice fishing and has a 50 fish limit on perch......

I have to agree that the US dollar to the Canadian dollar right now is the BIGGEST problem ALL Canadian tourist businesses will have this year...for the first time in over 25 years I have NOT made a reservation to anywhere in Ontario and the #1 reason is our weak dollar. On another note...when fishing tails off in one lake the anglers will look to another lake in Ontario to try the next year....but in this case where the limit will ONLY BE 300 BLUEGILLS where will any serious pan fishermen go for a larger possession limit...nowhere that I know...Rice Lake is competing against itself...don't these business people realize that...DUH ! ! ! One last thing.....you don't have to winterize the cottages as far as running water......have portable water and supply HEAT...like a wood burning stove and some wood...my wife went up to Big Caribou Lake ice fishing and we didn't mind that at all...love the wood burner and the next winter we had one install in our home. Also SORRY but one card is only good for ONE UNIT...HOWEVER, you can use the card on the console unit and just use whatever internal mapping that came with the bow unit and you'll be fine...the console card mapping will get you where you want to be and then the bow unit will keep you in the general area while fishing..If you get the "INSIGHT" mapping on both units you might not even need a card but of course that depends on what lakes you will be fishing....IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE EXTRA $50 for the INSIGHT MAPPING over the base mapping when you first purchase the units...you can get the units either way. SORRY but NO.....the X-55 unit doesn't have any capacities to be either networked together or Ethernet to another unit.

Fisherman has hit it head on with his advice here...the only thing I would like to add (listen up for those with problems at high speed)is to tip the transducer a bit forward so the beam is actually shooting towards the bow of the boat...with this slight angle forward this insures that water will flow over the face of the transducer and guarantee reading to 70+ mph...
-
You will need two map cards if you want the EXACT mapping on both but not really necessary. A Ethernet cable between the two units will give you the choice of sharing two transducers for both units. A network cable between the two units will give you ability of entering a waypoint on one unit and it will automatically be entered on the other unit as long as both units are on. Here's a forum site that has a LOT more info and has a thread pinned for networking. http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zeroforum?id=13

My wife and I continued the family tradition of making Kielbasa or better known as "Polish Sausage" for the last 28 years...just like you we make it just before Easter every year for the holidays and then we have a huge breakfast for everyone that can make it on Easter morning.... My mother was a "Wardinski" the company that still makes commercial brands of sausages and hotdogs plus cold cuts. So we have the original that's over 100 years old...however, the stuff you now get from the store is much less seasoned to please the palate of everyone...the home made is MUCH better and we never buy it from the store. When we started taking over the tradition we told a few in the family that we were going to make it by hand of course...well everyone wanted some...so 5 lbs here 10 lbs there and we were up to 75 pounds the first year with just me, my wife and my godmother that guarded the recipe...since that first time we scaled back and now tell no one we are making homemade sausage...they even wanted us to deliver it to them..

OK, what's the advantage to leasing holding ? ? ? That's what you have to weigh in on. Bob

Sounds like you found your car...now go BUY it and have some fun.. Bob

My point exactly...the Buick is worth less if something happened to it.
-
Have you ever consider that the Buick is worth much less if stolen...now what's the probability that it's stolen then wreck or whatever...ALSO consider what it's worth more in a trade....and what is more probable to happen...you trading the vehicle or having it stolen....YOU MAKE the call...ME, myself and I (all three of us) figure on trading that vehicle in over it getting stolen. Best Choice is by far the Civic....but hey, it's your money do as you feel is best.

We have a saying here in the USA and it's "If you outlaw guns then only outlaws will have guns" think about that for a minute...do you think the criminals will turn in their firearms because you passed a law saying so....

They're not only using all this licensing for control but for a LOT of revenue....think about it..I can without any of your gun classes, gun license come into Canada with my rifle or shotgun to hunt...I am except from all your requirements that a resident needs just to own a gun because I am coming into your country to spend money...this is also true when I bring my boat into Ontario...I don't need no course or boating card because I am going to spend money there...double standard or what.

I had one of Cabela's brand name on-board chargers stop working for no reason after 4.5 years of good service..thought maybe I could get it working again if I could contact the manufacture so I called Cabela's for more info...they said "That's our Charger" send it in...but I said it's over 2 years past warranty...don't matter the phone rep said, we want to take a look at it...so I did but it did cost me over $14 in shipping...2.5 weeks later a BRAND NEW update model was at my door FREE OF CHARGE... About 3 years ago I replace my Minn Kota trolling motor on my front deck...first time out the darn thing ran BACKWARDS...and YES I had the wiring correct...when I got home I triple checked everything out again then called Minn Kota...after a reasonable amount of waiting on the phone I got a lady tech who help me trace the problem down...from the factory (China, Mexico who knows) they had THREE wire crossed on the foot control.....been fine ever since.

Nice little collection you have there.. ..I liked my .22-250 Ruger so much that I also purchase a .270 Win in the Bi-Centennial Edition...hey you're not suppose to have one of those up there.. ...That's my deer rifle. Those Ruger #1's are REAL PURRDY. Back in the 70's a neighbor purchased on in a .220 Swift...he had a real hard time finding one. That .220 Swift you have is the only cartridge that can beat out my .22-250......how is ammo up there, especially on the .220 Swift, available or do you reload. Lately I have purchase a couple of the newer Savages for my son and nephew for deer hunting.......nice gun, especially for the money. With it's free floating barrel and Accu-Triggers it's a hard gun to beat when it comes to accuracy right out of the box. Got my son one in a .243 Win and my nephew one in a 7mm-08 Weather Warrior Model...both shoot clover leafs at 100 yards. My younger son Bill now says he has more time to hunt now that college is finally over so I have a 1969 Savage Model 99 that's in mint condition for him. This is one of the nicest lever actions ever made. Bob

You need to divert the water that is flooding North Dakota towards you.
-
When you speak of a gun license in Canada is it the same for the whole country or is this a Ontario license..Also is this gun license for any firearm or do you need something else for a hand gun.
-
YES that's a 1975 Ruger M77 .22-250 Rem with Bull Barrel... I don't mind them bashing me...it's just most on here are young guys and haven't seen how much liberty you in Canada and YES us in the USA have lost over the years...I'm 55 years old and have seen quite a bit, but up where you are, it's worse, MUCH worse. And the way things are going it's only going to be worse...Fight for you rights...stop giving them away for so called protection by the government..that's the best advice I can give you guys.. Bob

Where on earth did you ever hear that...bought my wife's Honda Civic and our rate went down (not much)....go figure...maybe in Canada but not down here...anythings possible but I would like to see that one.
