  1. Hey Kevin! Haven't been to Scugog much this year but when I was there, the weeds were as bad as ever. Personally haven't had much success there but then I am usually on shore. If you want to launch in Port Perry, there is a municipal boat launch at the end of Old Rail Ln . $5.00 parking fee for trailers for the day. Best of luck to you!!
  2. I hate being out of the loop! lol bly
  3. Like you said....sometimes you catch and sometimes you don't.....at least you had one on!! Always nice when you are able to get out there and learn from a fellow angler. Looking forward to your report in September!! bly
  4. Holy smokies that is a big beautiful baby!!! Congratulations to you and the wife!!! 9 14.....oh my....I hope they gave her some good meds! lol Congrats again and I wish all of you the very best!!! bly
  5. Usually wear runners whether fishing from shore or a boat. I have very tender (read girly) feet, going barefoot is painful most of the time. Since getting the canoe I am considering a pair of water socks...safety, comfort and no worries if they get wet!
  6. Nice way to spend a few hours. Congrats to J on her first musky!!
  7. We have several Rapala's and a few of the others but my favorite "hardbait" is a Cotton Cordell. I don't generally shop by brand, I shop for the the type and color of lure I want.

    Help

Me again..sorry! Forgot to put this in the last post An option to determine if this is a problem with the desktop vs router . Disconnect the router and connect the desktop directly to the modem. If it loads OFC then you may need to go through the router settings vs the desktop settings....might help narrow it down
  9. Doing well Scott.....missing the bows though!! Glad that you are able to get out vs sitting around the house and nice to see you returning to your roots in bass fishing lol Nice looking fish and congrats on the crappie!!

    Help

If I understand correctly....the laptop and the computer that is not loading OFC are sharing the same connection through a wireless router?? If this is the case....there is no need to ping the server...the server is working. Definitely sounds like it is the desktop machine. That being said.....weird things happen with Windows all the time.......information to run a trace route (can always run it on both and compare) In Windows 2000 or XP, go to "Start" > "Run" and type "cmd" and press the "Enter" key. This will bring up a 'command prompt" window. It have a line that looks like this: C:\Documents and Settings\yourname> _ with a cursor blinking next to the ">" symbol. To run the traceroute type "tracert [hostname]" where the [hostname] is the name of the server that you are connection testing. This test will proceed some up to a minute or more. It will generate a list of the connection along the way and some information about the speed of the steps along the way. Then you would send us the complete results (every line) for analysis. If you have difficulty copying the traceroute information, or if it runs off the screen, you can instead type "tracert yourdomain.name > C:\trace1.txt". This would write the command results to a text file named trace1.txt in the root of your C: drive. Might be something helpful here MozillaZine Top of the page deals mostly with not being able to load any pages but if you read on, it does offer some suggestions when you are having trouble loading only some pages. One of my favorite tricks when having trouble with our machines and I am at a loss.....Compare all the settings of the 2 machines assuming they are running the same software (Windows XP, McAfee, Firefox) Read that you ran a cleaner and it didn't seem to help. Might be something there that your program did not pickup. There are many programs on the net that will scan your machine for free and give you a list of what it found. If nothing else works.....See if one of those will find something.......you can always remove what it finds manually. Sorry for the long post.....just trying to offer some suggestions...I know how maddening it is to have computer issues! Good Luck!
  11. Jason, I am speechless......Thank you just does not seem to cover it...I do promise to wear my life jacket
  12. Thanks Nancy! I knew I was going to get it over the life jacket Just so I do not look completely irresponsible..... If we had tipped the canoe, the water was shallow enough that I would only need to stand up. Thank you also for sharing your and Ken's canoe outing......I kept reminding myself all evening to keep one bum cheek firmly planted lol Sooner or later, I am sure we will cross paths

stuck at home and no way am I doing any work...anyone care to chat???
  20. Welcome to the board Sean! Fellow shore angler here Can't speak for the areas you mentioned but I can say that fishing in some of my favorite holes has been tough lately. One of the toughest parts of being a shore angler.....you have to wait for the fish to come to you. There are things that you can do to improve your odds. Structure.....find it and fish it, this can be just about anything in the water.....docks, trees etc. Read the water to find the depth changes and drop offs...fish those areas if you can. Weed lines are also good areas to try. It can take time to find the areas and techniques that will produce for you......stick to it and you will get into some fish. Started back into fishing late last August, was out many times a week and was basically skunked (not counting panfish) until the 14th of October. Best of luck to you!!! Bly
  21. LOL Roy! Never know what a post from you is going to contain! Probably a very good idea!
  22. Couple of suggestions.. 1. Rent a carpet cleaner...what color is the liner? If it is a light color, you can get away with adding a SMALL amount of bleach 1. Some of the do-it-yourself car washes have carpet cleaners 3. Instead of Febreeze, get an antibacterial spray like Lysol Good Luck!!
  23. Oh how right you are!! LOL
  24. Ooooh I need one of those!! Just think how far that thing would toss the neighborhood cats!!!!
  25. Happy Birthday!!! Ok, belated birthday.........enjoy the viagra lol Are you sure you want Roy to have Viagra??
