  2. Betcha that picture looks much worse from the other side of the bike! Just got home from camping to find my COW moose tag in the mail....Looking for ward to the fall but I'm not wishing the summer away by any means..
  3. If your still looking I believe there are boats that need observers. Here's a line from another site. Give them a call and let them know your available and they will set you up. if you want to be an observer or if your team needs an observer please contact TIGHTLINE905 837 0544 as soon as possible...........
  4. I was out this morning as well out of Whitby though and the winds picked up but we stayed out till about noon. Got a nice 22 lbs one at about 7:30 then nothing the rest of the time. Lost a smaller one a few hours later. Been tough fishing out east the last couple of weeks. Good luck next time. This is the first big fish I've caught this year.. Glad to finally get the monkey off my back!!
  5. Heading up next week to one of these parks for a little family camping trip close to home with another couple and their small kids. So in all we'll have four adults and four small kids the oldest being 5. I was wondering which of the two would be best if anyone has any opinions on these two parks. We want to go to either of these because I have a buddy that lives nearby on Lake Simcoe and we want to boat over and say hello one of the days. I would like to be able to park my boat (17 1/2 foot) on the camp site as I really don't want to leave it at a dock somewhere if possible. Anyone been to either of these parks with small kids lately? We'll be heading up during the week if that makes any difference. Easy fishing for the kids to keep them entertained as well.. Thanks Craig

  7. Great report thanks for sharing
  8. Rented a buddies cottage up in Gloucester pool for the week last week. Had some family rent it with us and some other family and friends visited on the weekend. Was a great time and it sure is nice to get away to such a beautiful area. My Buddy has a small area where you can sort of turn a boat around in his driveway and then launch it at the front of the cottage. Well that was an adventure but after stopping and having a beer to think it through we managed to get the boat in the water then get unpacked. Got out fishing quite a bit but usually early morning before anyone was up. Mostly caught Bass and the odd small Pike. Just noticed going through the pics that there's none of me holding a fish. Couldn't seem to catch a thing when the camera and others were in the boat! Seemed to catch a lot of Bass on minnows and then I decided to try a tube that a friend gave me to try for the first time. I must have tossed that thing around for 2 hours, got a few nibbles that was it. I come back to the dock and my wife meets me there and grabs the rod off the boat with the tube on it and decides to do a few casts off the dock with it. Not three casts later she comes up with this.. So that's how it's done eh! Had the little fellow out several times fishing and he came up with a few monsters.. I think in this pic he was getting tired of me taking pics and he just wants it off the hook so he can throw it back in the water. He loves to watch them all swim away. This one's pretty neat. I had had a hard time getting him to hold it in a way that I could see the fish in the picture. Besides the fishing we got to some watersports as well and convinced my little fella who's three that he would love the tube, so after some coaxing he got in with grandpa. Well after a VERY slow put around the bay he figured he liked his feet planed on the dock better. Maybe next year. This is a high speed action shot! My buddy had a couple of these kayaks there and this was more his style he loved them. Must of went of 20 trips to the waterfalls with everyone. Here's a shot me and him enjoying a ride. The cottage is very close to the Big Chute Marine Railway so it's pretty neat to go over and watch the boats come over the hill. Saw lots of these fella's flying around And some scenery All in all it was a great week. Nothing spectacular fishing wise but good times with friends and family and time on the water fishing. Oh and the odd cold beer. Nothing like it. Wish I could have stayed for another week. Thanks for looking, Craig
  9. There's some real nice fish there, nice going and thanks for sharing.
  10. Nice going looks like a fine day on the water
  11. Sorry to hear that news Cliff, all the best to you and your family.
  12. You can drink on the golf course because they have a liquor licence to sell it there. However if you were impaired you can be charged with being impaired because the cart falls under the definition of motor vehicle. Not that it's likely to happen but it could. You can be charged with impaired wether you are on private or public property. Your right. Harris was a bit of a drinker and a golfer and he changed the legislation so that you could legally drink on the courses!!
  13. That was a great read..Thanks for taking the time to put it together..Looks like a great time.
  14. Sounds like an awesome trip, enjoy. Looking forward to the report on your return..Play safe!
  15. You don't need a harbour licence when you rent a boat from them. There's some check list they go over about the rules in the harbour and then your good to go.
  16. I assume you are talking about powerboats.. If so I believe this is the only place that rents them downtown. They have a bunch of 16 foot aluminums for rent. No idea on the price though. Give em a call and let us know. http://www.qqy.ca If you are talking about the paddle boats and stuff on the island, have no idea how much they are.
  17. Good luck out there, If the weather holds up I think I'm gonna head out there Thursday. Never fished out of Darlington. Mostly just here out of Whitby..
  18. Thanks guys, walleye dreamer I really like the idea of a one piece with snaps, then I can just leave the trolling motor as is. I have to be somewhat mindful of costs right now as I want to add to my salmon euipment this year as well I'll have to check around and see I guess which way to go. Disco Phish, that's too funny.. thanks again guys for the info.. Much appreciated Craig
  19. Nice pics and congrats on the ski, thanks for sharing. Sounds like a great day out.
  20. Nice going, looks like a beauty day to be on the water..
  21. Nice going, too bad I had to work would have loved to jumped aboard and learned some new stuff. Hopefully by the end of the week I will be out and landing a few of those beauties.. Thanks for sharing
  22. Used to see all kinds of bald eagles down east when I was growing up. Sure never get tired of watching them. Nice to see more of them around up this way. Thanks for the pics..
  23. Hey thanks guys, I guess my best option is to get the quick detach plate for my trolling motor and get a cover that fits just the boat and take the trolling motor off when I use the cover. My last cover was was just for the boat and as it was getting old anyway i sqeezed it over the top of the trolling motor and eventually that was the beginning of the end for it. The storm just sealed it's fate. Craig
