  1. that is a nice fish but the hold is a bit silly
  2. ya me and my mossberg
  3. just for fun I'd hook up a bait that is prone to wander a bit, once enough lines are caught in the mess...set the hook and watch everyone fight each other. Cut your own line and start fishing with a different rod
  4. good thing for the thawing centre, there are lots of people out there in running shoes!
  5. wow that's awesome. Just love finding new spots that produce
  6. tee hee...sounds like a good wedding joke for an m.c.
  7. Where did you find them? I think I was able to find some on a website called fishmart usa if I remember correctly.
  8. hey in this day and age if that's what it takes I'd say pucker-up
  9. man that is nasty. I have a friend who is in a bungalow on callender bay for the next couple of days. They had comparable fishing today - couple of walleye, bunch of perch, a herring and even a couple of smallies!
  10. wow that is terrible, I hope it all works out for you AND SOON
  11. that sounds like a perfect morning. Lots of action and enough to take home for a snack! For me, I never take home more than 10-15, but do enjoy the nonstop action the little ones provide
  12. looking good and cold out there. I had the same thing twice on Saturday with getting spooled. I don't have too much line on that rig, I think when the pike came to the end of the line he set the hook on himself! Good thing neither one was strong enough to break it.
  13. could it be a musky instead of pike?
  14. thanks Harrison, if I can't find a place I may get in touch. Years ago I bought the wrong replacement blades for it, I may send those to the 307 place but ask them to send me the correct design instead
  15. ...not sure what an assy is but this sounds like a good idea. I'll check for spare parts in there
  16. that's what I'm trying to do. richyb I think these blades are 8 years old. Never did a good job right from the get go, but now they are terrible. I watch guys with hand augers drill faster drifter - I checked out 307 and that may be the best option!
  17. I would like to buy some replacement blades but these things are a huge pain to find (maybe because they sucked and Eskimo changed their design). Anyways, Cdn T and LeB's both carry replacement blades for Eskimo but not the style I need. I went straight to the Eskimo website where they had them, but won't ship to Canada, I originally bought the auger at LeB's but like I said they no longer carry these blades. Found them on ebay, but seller won't ship to Canada either. Anyone ever buy "BB 8" replacement blades for a barracuda?
  18. perfect. Once I get some decent lighting (ie daylight) I'll jam something (preferably something not too strong)in there
  19. Man am I glad to hear you guys think its a shear pin. Thanks for the offer Brian but you don't need to drive one all the way out here (unless you're hitting a certain river tomorrow ) The model is a Yardpro 10.5 hp 30". I lived in Barrie a few years without one, then one year (4 or 5 years ago) it just snowed and snowed and snowed, like 30 cm's at a time each time. By the time I decided to finally buy in late February everywhere (except Walmart)was sold out of snowblowers. Brian if you're heading west tomorrow let me know and I'll tell you where I'll be fishing, maybe we can meet up.
  20. This is a tough one. I don't "need" that many shirts, but the wife keeps on buying them. I have no clue what I've got so I'll take some guesses: T-shirts 25, long sleeve t shirts 5, dress shirts 20, casual shirts 12, golf shirts 10, hoodies/sweaters 10...in other words waaaayyy too many and I give a bunch away every year. My wife truly has a shopping problem
  21. Went out to use the snowblower tonight and found that one side was not working properly (auger on one side wouldn't turn under load). When I cleared all the snow from it that had piled up I found I could turn that side of the auger manually (machine off of course mama didn't raise no dummy)but the side that worked I couldn't spin it freely. I recall when I bought it that there was a shear pin mentioned. Does this sound like a shear pin issue? If it is, then there must be separate shear pins for each side.
  22. wow thats some impressive work!
  23. Don't blame you for wanting breathable. When I was a young lad of 18 I once ate a can of brown beans, then went skiing in k-way pants. Apparently k-ways are not breathable. When I took them off at the "apres-ski" party 3 people fainted and a dog puked. The pants had to be put down.
  24. beauty pike! Good numbers too
  25. I would take those pike any day through the ice
