  1. Plan your trip carefully, dusk creeps up fast there try to get a site close to the area you want to fish so that you dont have to do a big hike or paddle
  2. Where were you fishing, I was down by the trail around the narrows and heard someone say that they caught a tagged one, not looking for tips just wondering if that was you? Also do you have a picture of that perch just curious to see what the tag looks like so that I don't miss it.
  3. Nothin caught in my new trap But lots of perch ( none tagged) and a few nice 9 inchers, no pics (phone fell in water), anyways just about to settle into my lake rosseau hotel room
  4. I'll be around next weekend too in my new canoe.
  5. I just woke up an hour ago in orillia, about to check my bait trap and start perchin just wondering if anyone is going to stop in today?
  6. There are lot's of blossoming trees in our neighbors yard and 24/7 you can almost look anywhere and see one.

  8. Great fishin, would be nice to let some of those females go though...
  9. Bill, that's a butterfly, and I'm not sure about the little guy, I thought he was an ash borer at first but then I realized it wasn't, sure is cute whatever it is.
  10. Looks like you still got that jacket too!
  11. I think it's a good idea, however I'd like to see them try to do it because you can't just tell a kid "OK you are going to fail now". it just won't make an impact however if you set them up to fail spontaneously it probably would work.
  12. Try the islands, you can catch a ferry from queens quay, the marinas and ontario place harbour are good for pike. I tried to PM you this but it wouldn't let me?
  13. You could also get a pair that has a strap instead of arms?
  14. Everyone can just stop talking about how old they were, think of this, I wasn't born, never even had a chance to meet him! Great read solo!
  15. I don't think herons go after fish that big, and usually they only take one strike. Nice fish all around!
  16. I just walked in the door from a secret crappie spot that I didn't know existed until 1 hour ago! (I'm sure a few of you know where it is)
  17. Great looking trip! That pike may not be a giant but I'll take it over school any day!
  18. If you live around there you also have orangeville reservoir and the holland canals are loaded with fun sized panfish and bass.
  19. here's a fish stocking list that covers most of the waters, another species overlookd is the splake it is found on most of the waters along hwy 60 http://www.algonquinpark.on.ca/pdf/fishstocking.pdf
  20. I assume that you'll go up on the 400, if so Bass Pro always has them pretty cheap! Hope to be up there as well maybe we'll run into each other up in those 7630 square km
  21. Ya, that's what I thought, my parents aren't usually up for a weekend of camping with the flies "just to catch some trout". Still going for trout this weekend at the JW marriot though on lake rosseau.
  22. It's a little worse than how I judged it, old cherry tree just fell over in my neighbours yard!
