I'm sure that there are fish in clareville, probably bass and pike from what I can see from the highway. I intend to fish it once bass opens. And the salmon will probably ge up that way by fall, yes. Right now you can entertain yourself with suckers up there!
Humber is a very long system it continues all the way to holland marsh, if you want to stay close to home try to just go up a little, the bows are still up.
Even with these cold days there are still reports of fish being caught in 18" of water, at mid day the fish should be basking in the shallows, (just a guess).
Maybe we'll see you, I think we'll be hanging around the railroad for the most part, the boat slips on the orillia side of the narrows have been pretty good, along with the rest of the lake. We'll be in a bright yellow canoe, kid long hair.
The perch are everywhere! The narrows are generally calmer than the lake I've noticed, and it's also surrounded by marinas, on atherley st there is a public launch, just look for the cars. Secret bait..... Live shiners, shh don't let anyone know!
If you mean the white canoe that roped off at the bridge that wasn't me, were you the three tied off on the simcoe side of the railroad? I was on shore where the bridge used to connect, (the kid in the brown jacket and long hair). This weekend I'l be cruising around in a new yellow swift.
