  1. I'm trying to find somewhere (preferably central ontario, between muskoka and algonquin) to camp for 4 days, I'd like it to have most of the classic elements of a bass lake (to gain experience) it would also have to be canoe-friendly. The things I'd really like are pencil reeds, lots of pads and cabbage. Thanks for any suggestions! (if possible it would also be nice to have a secluded camp ground, so no trailers and packed together sites.)
  2. I was actually having this problem yesterday, my friends brought their rod but then we realized that they had flipped the switch, it's kind of a strange reel any ideas on where the switch may be?
  3. Kilbear is OK but not if you want the experience (grouped sites).
  4. I haven't been on the water enough to have seen really stupid acts, but while fishing a couple weeks ago some guy puts on a pencil bobber and starts using it as a lure???
  5. Awesome! but why are they breaking off the shark? a good fisherman would try to land it! http://www.theage.com.au/travel/travel-news/shark-follows-kayaker-as-jaws-fears-hit-us-20120710-21svg.html
  6. That's 2 spots so far, I need to find a weedier spot.
  7. Tried again with a tin coffee can and some cheap (really bloody) meat, let it sit in the upper rouge overnight and pulled it up at 7:30 this morning, nothing...
  8. It was run like any big tournament (minus the scoring) I can't remember the 2nd and 3rd place winners but the lowest bass came in at 4.7 pounds.
  9. I'd say maps, I've found a lot of spots this way.
  10. That one on the far right in that second to last picture is a tank! Good job!
  11. Get a water taxi out on opeongo, it's got some good smallmouth fishing and for a lake that is right beside the highway not as ugly as you'd think.
  12. Is there a way to ensure they can't get out?
  13. I fished it, it's actually a great bass lake, after that rain though it was tough fishing, the winner came in at 5.2 pounds, it was my first tournament so the size helped me get accustomed to it. We're you there jonny?
  14. Also that's a beauty of a bow in there! l
  15. I know where those were... Caught my biggest bass in that same spot.
  16. I tried the coffee can one with an orange juice bottle and got skunked, I'll try aluminium tonight...
  17. Sorry for digging this one up, but after the ban was lifted are we allowed to fish anywhere along the harbourfront now?
