Possible solution for Fishing poachers
Muskieman replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
I'M NOT POKING THE HORNETS NEST .... with the technology of today a cell phone can go a long way in court... it can take a picture .. film a videoclip... serve as proof to time and date ... has a trackable signal ... and better yet can be used as phone to call for help or to REPORT A POACHER .. I reasoned with a few out of town poachers this spring... i explained to them that this was my hometown water and that fishing was closed...if it would have been open i would be fishing right beside them...and that the regs book was in plain view sitting on a tackle box...it was a sanctuary . they had a cage full of fish from walleye ,white bass, catfish , and some suckers... I was called a , Trailer Trash Redneck and was told to go get myself a fresh bag of CRACK..and was i gonna pay for their gas back to Oakville .and to leave them the F alone.. so I did for about 10 minutes I then came back with my freind Rick he's the local C/O... In the meantime i told Rick what had just happened... he proceeded to lay 3 charges per person..them told them politely that they would have to pay their own gas to and from Oakville because they now had a court date... took their gear and fish and put it in the box of his truck. : I then received a Handskake and a MNR keychain.. not to mention the satisfaction of having made a little dent in the poacher population -
REGARDLESS OF YOUR SKIN COLOR YOU SHOULD"NT BE POACHING!! this subject is not about race.. but about ethics and disrespect for the conservation laws. and to think that offenders should be returned to their country is rediculous..infact a moronic suggestion. Now I'm not gonna poke at the hornets nest this time ... This thread is probably gonna be deleted to.... just like the netting one. breaking the law to enforce the law c'mon ! I think fatherof3 said it best.

Just wondering... when i'm on the net i'm mostly here and on facebook.
-
Is'nt there a rumor of a lake monster there? Memphre? or the Magog ? welcome to the board !!
-
found this on the Sylvanic home page from a video... video clips the guys and witnesses sound convincing...who knows? in the reports they had a NFL athlete try to run the same course and he was unable to do it .. these guys say they will take you there for free so long as they can blindfold you ... they've offered the T>V networks ...such as discovery and so far they refuse to go without knowing exactly where it is. Do you beleive?

I will not miss it next year looks like fun was had by all... and maybe a few hangovers.

you were in Lavigne..you could've made yer way to the mouth of the Sturgeon River and did good for walleye probably a 25 minute or so ride from Lavigne..or coulda made yer way to the Sandy Island or Iron Island area... as for the bad spot of the lake ... well at this time of year it tends to be tough in the west arm area of Lavigne shallow water .. Muskies were had there last week.. I hope that it did,nt deter you from trying again next year... you were so close..
-
Where did ya go ? where did ya stay? sounds like the west arm..

Apparently the same thing just happened , this past Thursday night in Dokis Bay on the French River, a couple of kids were fishing at the dock .. the kid was releasing a Smallie and a Muskie came and grabbed him by the hand and wrist , I was told that he's pretty mangled up. and will require physio for some nerve damage. I called my buddy Bud who owns the place where It happend , he confirmed that it's true, It was his nephew and little cousin 12 & 14.

like Crazyhook said Tiger Rod alot of bang for the buck..... also some CTC stores still stock the Gorilla Stick[berkley] in a heavy action 7' ,,, I use both ... I run into problems near the boat with the Gorilla Stick 'cause I'm 5'6". ...I've had 200.00$ Muskie rods and have had no more or no less success with them than my CTC specials... to me it's the action you prefer ... but mostly the reels and the line you put on them....and most important what you have on the end of that line and how you use it.. Good Luck on the water .... ZZZZZZING!

most GPS have a MARK option... press that option and press OK and voila you've just entred it into the memory ... then name it. and follow the directions to it the after year.

It's a Chickador retreiver or a Golden Labradee ... id'have to see it first hand..

probably this one !! these pics are from germany and the netherlands ,,, been there fishin' when i was younger definitely true as poop!!... our average pike from shore was 20 lbs + kinda like fishin' from a dock for sunfish at yer uncle's cottage in the summer... their average pike is bigger and way more abundant than our average Muskies... pike over 45lbs are caught regularly ...every year a 55-60lb is caught but is'nt registered as a record ... when i was there i seen a picture of an old man and the MONSTER.... they estimated this pike at about 75lbs and to me ...well I beleived it ... the pic was taken after WWII in the late 50's. as for Rainy Lake and such stories ....naw not here. Ya wanna se a 35 lb walleye? go to Germany or Holland .. they're called Zander... looks pretty much tha same as a Walleye . but on average 2x the size.

E-TEC! usually costs less than the competition. 100% Better on fuel than other two strokes ...as good as any four stroke in it's class & all the power of a conventionally aspirated 2 stroke on it's best day! no haggle warranty [ if you ever need it]. very very quiet , I've used them all this past summer ,from a 40-225 ho E-tec. Yammy & Honda ..even Suzuki & Tohatsu' s[ small bore merc] ..mind you a new 40 merc Opti-Max will outperform the 40 'rude E-Tec on the same boat. kinda like that 30hp 3 cyl. 1997-1998 yamaha that blew most 40's away. I reccomend a 60 E-Tec . Joseph Armand Bombardier would be proud. Now if only these outboard manufacturers made cars as reliable as outboards.... would'nt that be nice.
