Strange Moose behind Val Caron .. We have these behind Sturgeon .. I wonder what the MNR would do if anybody would mistake that for a Moose Calf?
  3. Good Idea? maybe .... Gimmick ? << ... I think so. I wonder if they actually studied this or just marketed the net? Probably had left-over '' Jelly Shoes " melted them down and made nets out of them.. Might work better in clear water...who knows ..screw it ! I'm ordering one!
  4. EH!! pas mal cool..
  5. I got a pair of glasses that come with polarized clip-on shades with a medium tint made by " Guess" love 'em I paid 156.00$ and the Insurance sent me back a cheque for 86$.
  6. Here's my buddy's boat 2006 scarab 36' 2x blown 572 chevy = 1500 horsepower 2.5 GALLONS TO THE MILE..top speed of 110 on a 6" chop... the engines alone are worth 68.000$ ... The 2005 f-250 is worth 49.000$....when you're an engineer for Lougheed Martin you can afford anything! Deemed to be " The Fastest Boat on Nipissing"...and probably the hardest on gas!! The cost of it to run for a Weekend is the monthly mortgage payment on a 150.000 $ house. Useless to fish from.. or even water ski...
  7. where am I from? :thumbsup_anim:

  10. WALLEYE not Pickerel.... worms are great at this time of year.. harness or a jig and you'll do fine. don't mean to insult but if you Wikipedia Pickeral you get a fish that looks alot like a pike.
  11. Hwy 64n and 11 north of North bay and Sturgeon Falls are chalk full of put & take lakes.. check out the MNR stocking list and then find the lake on the map..
  12. I'll try to lay hookey and meet up with youzz ... are ya stayin' in a Ice Bungalow?
  13. apparently this Moose was shot in Russia and weighed in at 2500lbs and measured 15 feet at the head? that's 1000 lbs bigger than a big Canadian Bull Moose..
  14. same as Walleyejigger took me a little while longer to get home from Sudbury..OPP & Greater Sudbury Police are thoroughly checkin' vehicles... people like her aren't right in the head.... hope they find the little girl soon.. prayers go out to the family.
  15. Sorry to hear that.. I'm gonna hit lake Nipissing and surrounding waters 'til ice-up ..same every year ..last year was out 'til January 11 th.. Tear off the outboard and tarp it up usually takes me an hour or so..

  22. :thumbsup_anim: Clamp-It!!! That's a sail man!! :thumbsup_anim: No wonder it blew away!! :stretcher: Just kiddin' I use that set up as well and have had the same happen to me.. :wallbash:
  23. I ve done it a 100 times and have failed about 10 times because of the winds... but i've figured it out. fishin' in the open on lake Nipissing gets to be very very windy.. I've made 2x4 subframes on hinges that the tent sits on they are foldable and pretty light.. i then spike the subframe to the ice.. this helps prevent the tent from freezing to the ice and tearing when it's time to pack up..old canvas tents with metal poles seem to work best. you can make your subframe a little longer at the ends so that the tent poles can sit into pre drilled holes.. took me a few tries to figure it out...now tie a rope to the subframe and you can pull it anywhere ya want. can even make skis for it... a pair of X country would do. when you cut your tent floor leave at least 10" around the walls ... fold some tuck tape over the edges of your cut .. helps to prevent fraying...
  24. for the boat. tools... small tool kit .. pliars, little wrenches and screwdrivers..hammer...prop nut wrench. spare pull cord plugs & plug wrench spare drain plug. duct tape. wire and spare fuses, navigation light bulbs. TECH STEEL...made by northland part # 16002 epoxy putty ,will fix a tear or a big enough leak in about 5 minutes about 6.00$ per tube. it's saved the day for me twice now. and yer emergency kit. Trailer; i bring a spare hub, pre- packed with grease.. costs 28.00 $ @ any Benson comes with all you need to change on the side of the road. Spare Tire ..and matching lug wrench. hydraulic 1 ton jack.. .. bulbs. piece of 2x8 to rest the jack on . portable compressor.. ...you said "S" hooks on the safety chains,, i'd replace them with a clevis .. cross yer safetychains this acts as a cradle and prevents the trailer from nosediving into the pavement in the event of it falling off the ball. good luck...happy fishin'
