  1. sent you P.M... anybody wondering what it is?
  2. Adjust the spool tension to when the lure hits the water the lure stops and so does the spool... not while casting... just let it drop off the end of your rod... and fine tune from there. use cheap line for practice.
  3. Oh yes!! they're quite rough.... but this thing is guaranteed for 3yrs or 36.000 miles. but i wonder if that covers falling off the truck and getting run over due to rough roads. I imagine when I get all set up I'll look like the Grizwalds from the Vacation movie...I wonder if I should put my mother-in-law on the roof in her rocker?
  4. I'm thinkin that thats I'll have to do it..
  5. Now that I've bought it , I need to think up a way of towing my boat with this BBQ on the back..of the Expedition.. I think It will interfere with my turning abilities I've bought a 2" bolt on receiver that I can clamp on to my class III .....I need to dig my boat out of the snowbank to actually see the outcome. I'm thinking of bolting the BBQ mount on my boat trailer...If it has to come to that.
  6. For Sale In three months ... reasonable price , with papers..
  7. Congrats !!!! hope ya win the mount. By the way to you sometimes fish for Pike in Temag ? I do, and actually do pretty good....I lived there for a few years, worked in the seniors complex. caught a 26.2lb Pike in Ferguson Bay..right by the Island withe the 2 little white cottages on it. I usually do good there in winter for Lakers. Here's an example of a Big Temagami Laker. http://www.temagamifishing.com/44lb-temagami-lake-trout.html
  8. Red Cedar is a great northern lake , alot of "don't wanna bust yer bubble" SLOT sized walleye to be had, last season I had a real hard time keeping a snack for shore lunch my wife and I managed to keep 3 of 16 fish, a 22" is common.... opening weekend 'til mid June is best and the Eyes are easy to catch. BEWARE of "Big Northern Pike" 15lbs is common.... on average the catch is over 5lbs. BEWARE of ROCKS..... the bottom of that lake is up & down... Red Cedar wasn't always a lake it's man made by dams.... Just because there isn't a JUG floating in the lake to tell ya there's a rock there...doesn't mean there isn't a rock there ... they seem to grow during the winter ... you might be in 35 feet one second and the next you've just ran a-ground...tons of deadheads too they used to run logs through there for the lumber mills. I live 35 minutes away and fish Red Cedar very often. If you have a Canoe you might wanna take advantage of MNR stocked Brook Trout & Splake..lakes up towards hwy 11... 5 minutes from Mountain Home Lodge... good luck on your quest .... You might also wanna consider Lake Tomiko....VERY VERY good for walleye 'til mid June. Randy.
  9. :thumbsup_anim: AMAZING SHOW!!! 'nuf said.
  10. here ya go...

  12. I was looking at the picture and I think I can say that that is'nt a Springbok..... doesn't it say Peterborough on the side? Never mind the 4 strokes go for the high efficiency ,power and lightweight of a E.F.I 2 stroke ... just as good on gas weighs less and pollutes the same....cheaper purchase price. Merc Opti-Max or Evinrude E-Tec
  13. I think that that Peter.. is made of fiberglass and is rated for a 70 ... so maybe add a few horses to the back... Buddy has a similar boat with a 60 E-Tec and does 38 mph on GPS...even slows down to a descent trolling speed.... VERY VERY good on gas. Comparable to a similar Aluminum unit with a 40.
  14. The waters of the Restoule River and that part of Restoule Lake in Lots 24 and 25, Concessions III and IV in the geographic Township of Patterson in the Territorial District of Parry Sound. /www.canlii.org/ca/regu This tells me that the river is open but it's a sanctuary from date to date...like up here Sturgeon River is open but becomes a sanctuary on closing day. Maybe you should call a fishin 'lodge or the local bait shop.... hear it from a local. good luck..
  15. Irishfeild said it;; same happened to me on Nipissing.. except this time he was sniffin' for Walleye. In my case none were to be found..... there was a CO... and a VERY VERY PRETTY 25 or so year old Handler she had a black lab.... his name was Cody. The kids had a blast with Cody......he went on to find some frozen perch under 2" of ice.
  16. I believe it's up to the Judge and if the Convict has had any priors... maybe he wanted to make an example of him.. IE: My buddy KILLED two while drunk driving...he got 2 yrs.... he then drove drunk again and KILLED his girlfriend in the process while out of jail for the holidays [while he was already in jail] Ya following me? the same Judge imposed another year to his Driver's permit suspension...and a "blow to go" device in his vehicle...oh and for the KILLING of his Girlfriend....and additional 6mos probation after his release....... what the heck!!!!..... he's no longer a friend. On the other hand.. My pal ...."J" a pretty big guy...6'7" 350 lbs...was in a bar fight when yer big they gang up on you he ended up Breaking 2 arms by "wrist twisting" [2 different people] he got 6 yrs..and was released after 2 full years..I was there It was self defense. as for my Drunken ex-buddy he ended up doing 20 months total....go figure. Can you explain that ? Like I said It all depends on the Judge..
  17. I once won a Raleigh Mountain Bike... first ride out got hurt real bad ... a TV.... and then a BBQ...all that in 4 yrs countless coffees and goodies. I once even Almost won a Motorhome it said you " WINABAGEL" I'd sell or trade in the boat on a fishin' model... Congrats to your Buddy.... Why don't you buy the boat? Randy
  18. :wallbash: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S CALLED WALLEYE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pickeral look like a pike....now that I've got that off my chest. It all depends on the body of water yer on... But in most lakes you'll see me using a 3" Red/Yellow Dace...on a orange/ chartreuse jig. In the winter though an Emerald Shiner will out-produce a Dace .
  19. Groundhog River?
  20. look in the back of my line...rink
  21. the dam .. and look behind my line in the second pic it was plowed with a F-150...they made a rink for some kind of Jug Curling thing.
  22. EH! Nuke...I thought it was insane too...that's until I went down for myself in 1999...I've been going ever since.. As of this past sunday there is an even 21" of ice down there.. within 50 yards of open current. The bite is on in early January dies off during February and is just picking up now. Usually at dusk is best.
