In the past 3 winters I've caught 2 cell phones while jigging for Walleye....1 In Calandar Bay and 1 near Fisherman Is. My Bud..caught 1 last year near the S**T Chute in North Bay... Doesn't anybody burn wood anymore?......Where's all the Buckers?? Wood stove for me!! Gets pretty WARM in there! But I must admit that it's a pain to bring wood to the shack every time you drive across the lake....It's a little more of a pain in the than propane.. RFS

JIFFY!! I've had a 8" Jiffy for the past 12 yrs going on 13....hasn't let me down once!.. I keep it well maintained and off I go! as for a manual auger ..Fin_Bore III all the way! and for ice under 4" Ice Chisel from Canadian Tire. Be safe out on the hard stuff and wear a floater :Gonefishing: RFS

No frozen over yet....some bays are frozen, north shore is about 300 yds out ...be a few weeks yet.. It needs to stop snowing. Like Bernie said... slush will be a problem I think... Smaller lakes were being used on 3" of ice last week ... kiss that ice goodbye!!... a foot and a half of snow will have fallen in two days by tomorrow...there goes the ice.. now if all that slush can freeze we'll be in good shape.

EH! I just watched that video had his minnow been put on the hook properly he'd of caught that Walleye faster...nice fish though. Just goes to show how presentation plays a BIG role in catching or not catching fish. RFS

I think that I've had the same Jig on my line for 2 seasons this will be my 3rd Make sure it's sharp throw a Minnow on it and send it down. ..chartreuse/orange works for me! RFS
