  1. I agree about the puzzle analogy ... The black waterfowl has to go . Traité rights are beyond Provincial jurisdiction . Agriculture is a must but is extremely harmful. Old School retirees need education . New anglers should be offered a course. Promoting alternate palatable species would help. Tourism dollars are a required income . Stocking is essential . Added enforcement would be nice . Show me the money . My opinion on the majority of factors at play . My 2¢.
  2. I'm really not ignoring the facts , fact is that Nipissing is in my back yard , all I'll say is that there is more than one factor at play in this matter , and that I'm very well versed in all of them.
  3. Worse part is , she was brought in alive and could've easily been released ... I don't know what I'd have done ... legal catch , to each their own I guess.
  4. it's a revolving door .... ADMINS / MODS, please lock 'er up .
  5. In 1996 wile a guide at Chaudiere Lodge ,I cleaned a 36.25" 19 1/2lb from the Little French River , the old guy apparently claimed a 21lb 37"+ at the same spot back in '82. " if it's smaller that the one I already have on my wall I eat it! "

  7. Thanks ! Gull is hit and miss , the road is getting worse every year , and I don't mind that one bit .. long gone are the days of getting in with a car , going in with a 2WD truck is taking a risk .
  8. U/L Lightning Rod ? I know it's not on your list , but have a look , I have 2 and love 'em both ! ( not to mention another 9 of different actions )
  9. Well , we've decided to not pull the trigger quite yet , we've found a house on the river that comes with a 20' Pontoon 4 Kayaks and a paddleboat a few more weeks will tell .
  10. It's coming from my local Alumacraft dealer , he'll make sure it's water ready ,and even offered to keep it in storage until ice out at no extra charge , Why so cheap ? It's a repo ( divorce thing ) and I know the previous owner well .
  11. I have friends that own them , they speak highly of the brand , I had a choice between a comparable Polarkraft / Yamaha and an Express /Suzuki , I didn't like that they came with a 90 , although the fit and finish was nicer than the Alumacraft , buying a riveted boat has become difficult , thanks for the input ..
  12. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new to me boat ... 2007 Alumacraft 165 Dominator Sport / 2007 Merc 115 Opti Max... the boat is in excellent condition comes with a camper top , new 24V Minn Kota , safety gear and a Lowrance GPS plotter, 12,500.00... Does anyone here run a similar set up , what should I watch out for and what should I expect ? I have a week to make up my mind. Thanks gang ! Randy
  13. Has no difference in line twist IMO , line twists because it's not initially going onto the spool in the right direction or the lures you cast .. for me the most notorious line twister is a Jig & Minnow .
  14. I've been soaking for about 20 yrs , usually in warm water , just seems to make it a little more souple and lines up a little tighter on the reel .

  17. We went to " Camp Hillbilly " a few years ago to meet up with some friends from Oakville , despite being right beside the highway , I was impressed with the facility and lack of traffic noise .. lots for kids to do .
  18. Probably not , I sold auto parts for many years and have seldom seen a diesel come stock with a block heater , oil pan heater yes , block heater no .
  19. I had a set , they worked great to help get to plane , they worked even better to stop porpoising when I was alone .
