Yes and the water was apparently flowing over the minden dam lots of roads are washed out so you better check before you go !!!! Mountain lake and horseshoe lake are super high and flooding the Dwight area and Dorset area have sustained lots of flooding as well be carefull the lakes have debris docks and logs and stuff all over them just saying !!!!! Know before you go Haliburton is still under a state of emergency

They would probly be better in the shed instead of a damp cold room ?? I keep rods and reels in my basement and it's barely heated but it's dry and that I think is important more than anything or you could run a dehumidifier in there ??

Was going through buckhorn yesterday and stopped at the dam to see the water !!!! Man what a sight it sounded like thunder !!!!! Check it out !!! the big waves in the center looked to be about 7ft tall all gates were wide open !!!!!!

i also bought my lund from hastings marine,and last year bought a 50hp yamaha four stroke from them to put on my lund,and they have been great to deal with over the last 6 yrs,they usually have a pretty stock of boats on site,and if not they will get you one for sure !!!! yes i would buy another boat or anything from them in the future !!!!! go with a lund and a yamaha engine,and you will set for years,and years ......just sayin

That's always the advantage of fishing the Ottawa river !!!!! Just cross over into Quebec and its all good !!!!! I remember back when beer stores were closed on Sundays and we would just motor over to Quebec and get beer or whatever !!!! Could buy worms,beer and a bottle of rye,as well as get our grocery supplies all in one general store !!!!!! Ontario is so bass-akwards we are still in the dark ages compared to other provinces !!!!!!!!

There are permanent docks here on sturgeon lake that will stick out 30-50ft and they are under water !!!!! Trust me you don't want to hit one of them !!!! Even our boat launch is completely filled with large pieces of debris and large 6x6 post pieces and dock boards and stumps !!!!!!! So anything like that would tear a nice hole or eject you from your boat !!!!!! And now even bouys are under water marking channels and shoals !!!!!!! Be very careful !!!!!! Remember : "if you don't know don't go" and be safe and don't hurt yourself or wreck your boat !!!!!!

Hey everyone just a heads up here in the Kawartha lakes and other areas if you are going out on the lakes be very aware of all the debris on the water there are floating docks trees and wood and crap floating all over the lakes !!!!!!!!!!! Do not just fly down the lakes in your boat !!!!!!! I watched all kinds of stuff through my binoculars out on my lake floating around !!!!! Be safe take care

Just heard 1 cop is dead 1 is wounded.the bombing suspects carjacked a man and fled !!!! One suspect has been shot dead !!!!! And the other got away !!!! They have a whole town under lockdown telling residents to stay inside !!!! In Watertown mass !!!!!! Come on cops get em !!!!!

Yes worms and tons and tons of frogs !!!!! The last few days driving to work at 4:30am I am doging frogs all over the roads up here in the kawarthas it's impossible not to run some over but there sure does seem to be more this spring than last year !!!!! Just sayin

At ice out the fish you should be targeting are lake trout !!!!!! This is the time if year when they are easiest to catch !!! And they will roam just about anywhere in the lake and high up in the water colum sometimes almost at the surface !!!! Just longline troll with a bait that will run 10ft deep and you will catch lakers no problem !!!!!!

Yes I had a few bad rapalas and the rear eye hook on the tail would tear out on a few shad raps and normark replaced then no issues at all !!!! They are down in south Oshawa/Whitby border I thinks it's off park Rd south !!!! They are great to deal with one of the rep salesman guys name is Chris !!!! He reps all the rapala retailers in that area !!!! I also had a spool of bad braid replaced about 4 yrs ago and it was all good !!!! Hope this helps
