  1. thats a pretty good weather site as well ,it seems like there is more of them all the time i have about 4 that i will go to before i go out on a trip especially on lake ontario.its good they are there
  2. thanks for the update cliff, like environment canada says its gonna get real nasty out there and nobody should venture out for the next few days ,with the water temps the way they are and the weather its not a good combination,im gonna just stay at home and do some work on my new boat.....cheers

  11. the hardest day of every year is having to put my boat away.... i hate friggin winter
  12. its a medium line unit with fairly decent power for most inland medium depth lakes ,it also has a user friendly menu and is quite easy to operate,one hint you may like to use is put it in the manual mode and adjust the sensitivity and grayline and depth cursure your self,you can also zoom in on your own numbers on the side bar,what i mean is you can use the depth cart in manual and it will get the most of your graph instead of using it in the auto mode i never use auto mode in my lowrance i always use manual and it works harder and better to see what you need to,all in all its a good unit for the price and pretty reliable...hope this helps...ps..read the manual about manual mode ....operation

  15. WOW...talk about a monster, holy crap i can imagine what the crew and the ship went through trying to get that shark subdued, thats quite a catch
  16. dont forget the napenee river i heard that there were fish caught right at the dam in town,there is spots on the river and there is usually people fishing there as well and its real easy to get to,and there is bait and coffee right nearby only a 5min walk away its a good spot and lots of fish are caught there every year ....good luck hope this helps

  23. there is another board member who has one and it works very well,i have seen it work and so far it marks depth fairly acurate and is a benefit,but like anything else some are good and some are bad...guess you will have to hear a few more reports on them good luck
  24. welcome to OFC,well for my preference i like the last week in june better than the end of july for pike & walleye,and the weather is not as scorching hot like it is at the end of july,talk to the musky guys and they will let you know...cheers
