fishergirl72 gave me a liilte crystal glass fish with 10kt. gold fins with a saying on the box that says the following. you fisherman may tell your tales,of those that got away so heres a fish,not very large,but it for sure will stay.....so everytime i go fishing i pic it up and give it a rub and then i go,so everytime since the early fall ive done this i always have done well.so i guess thats my new lucky charm........the one time i didnt rub it and went i didnt catch a thing so she says its the lucky fish.......cheers

rick you had it right,my lowrance 339IGPS...has it all,but it also costs $1,000 bucks,you only get what you pay for....and it has the most power of any unit under almost 5,000 .i learned that along time ago and you need lots of power if you are deep fishing or going at high speeds,with 4000watts of power and a dual frequency,its amazing detail, with a 200kh/50kh what i can see on my unit is amazing i can track cannon balls or see a double thermocline,its awsome....if you dont mind spending a grand than there is no equal, my advice is do your homework....cheers

what the??????? thats like saying i dont want to go ice fishing on simcoe in case i might hook a smallie, i dont understand that musky bill,your chances are all the same no matter where you go,in over 20 years of fishing the bog,i have only caught maybe 5 musky while ice fishing and none came to any harm,you just have to relese them IMEDIATELY,so there eyes dont freeze or the stree level kept down....i think you would be ok to fish the bog,we do quite well there sometimes in the first few weeks of jan,if we have ice...lol

i have a lowrance 339igps. its an internal antenae and is a very powerful unit.go to the lowrance website and check the different units out...they is one to fit every price range good luck

wow roger ...i have had about 7 boats in my life and other thn 2 all the other pics are on film not on my dgital camera, but i sure had fun in my first new boats and it brings back alot of memories

well said guys ,and one more to add,discarded fishing line can and does kill wildlife,including birds,fish and turtles about 10yrs ago we seen a dead floating loon all wraped up in a big ball of about 20lb fishing line[mono] it was a sad sight ,so remember about when you discard line to put it in your pocket,for those of us with boats it can alot of damage as well.......cheers
