Thanks for report david.. ..we can always count on you for a great quinte report....well you guys did ok,those were very nice sized walleyes for sure.. .so i guess its just a matter of time till the big girls showup....and with the water temp at 65 it wont be long now...everyone figures cause of the very warm fall the fish might be a week or 2 behind,,,,but the temps are dropping good now.. ...well good luck david and we are looking forward to your next report...i might be down next weekend...cheers

Right on solopaddler...you hit the nail right on the head ....and thats WHAT GOOD FISHEMEN WILL DO !!!!!! as long as there is salmon in and around the GTA...there will be snaggers out to fish for roe.. ..thats the only reason they do it,its ALL ABOUT THE ROE....and i have heard snaggers say...well they are going to die anyway,they think that justifies their actions ,and the snagg away.....

WOW...thats an amazing fishing trip & report !!!!!!! WTG glen,that must have been a great fishing trip to meet up with your freinds and going deep-sea fishing...man there sure is a big variety and sizes of those fish....i spose it takes a while to learn all the speices,and which ones are good to eat and what ones are not...great pics of all the fish,and of your trip & the fish on the BBQ...yyyyuuummmmyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!! thanks for sharing glen,you sure have better weather down there to go fishing than we have up here in ontario......enjoy the rest of your fishing /trip & holiday....cheers

Well after carefully checking my 10 different weather sites i knew that yeasterday with 35kmph wind,and rain and a smallcraft weather warning. ...that fishing in my boat for wall,eyes was a no go...But they also said that it was going to be fairly windy today,as i was thinking about a day trip to the bay of quinte. ...well i live in oshawa and since 5:30am this morning it has been a very calm day and would have been great to hit the water in the LUND today....i hate when this happens as there is only maybe 8 weekends left for the softwater die-hards like myself.. ...well maybe tonight i might try a few shore spots for some browns and maybe a fresh steelhead....well i suppose its still a great time to spend with my family as they are used to not seeing dad very much on the weekends, and week nights when i can get out....well im really looking forward to hitting the bay of quinte several times this fall and hook into some of those big quinte eyes.. ...cheers oh ya and if anyone is interested in another usefull site for wind...its www.windguru.com and its all bout wind for all the great lakes area and is right almost 100% of the time,check it out and move your mouse all around and click on the various areas and change it to miles per hour,kmph,or knots,and the arrows which indicate the wind direction,us salmon guys rely on this site its great

Well first off,im glad you are stepping up to the tournament gang. ..i wish you all the luck,so on to the selling of the truck & boat,we need to know the specifics,and a few pics for sure,...and if there is no takers here on the board you can put the boat in the boat trader & the truck in the truck trader,and i think if you do that you get a pretty good discount for seeling both in the traders....hey maybe cliff & carol will be interested in your boat,send them a PM...cheers

I was at tightlines fishermens wharehouse in pickering today,and they did have some AC-SHINNERS....in several colors,man i cant believe that they are selling them for that much...bass pro must have them,you can buy on-line and will have them in a few days,and can probly get the colors that you want as well...and yes they do work,we first started using them at bay of quinte many years ago,and despite all the new lures that have come out for walleye since then,they are still used and work very well....cheers & good-luck in your search,i will keep an eye out for ya too.....cheers

Well cliff its all pretty easy,specially a 2 stroke...and it doesnt cost much,if you need a hand i have been doing this for most of my life....if you know what kind of buget you are looking to spend for a decent small fishing boat,i can give you a hand as well.you just need to take care when buying a used boat there is a few things you should watch for,but its pretty much common sense and its easy, talk to yoiu soon, good-luck

Well i comend you for doing that !!!!! i hope when you forward all that evidence that its enough for the MNR to lay charges. ..but lets see what they do about it...i was once told they have to be caught in the act,and that 3 witnesses wasnt enough to lay a charge...you know the way the law works????

Right on alex !!!! looks like you found a great surf fishing spot for sure....it always amazes me the different kinds of fish you can catch by fishing the surf. ..they look cool,and that silver fish looks like he would put up a great fight....and those dog sharks look pretty cool ...cheers

Yes there is still lots of fish to be had off the piers,we have caught steelhead right into late november off the piers and off creek mouths...so dont give up them yet...also trolling the mouths with inlines will catch them too...im still going to do a trip just for fall rainbows in the lake all around the shoreline of creeks & rivers like the ganny....cheers

Well i know we have caught them while ice fishing on frenchmans bay in pickering,and we have caught them during the day but mostly right around night time.....and some years where we fish up around the bancroft area we catch them after dark while ice fishing...as well on tip-ups,but you would have to check the guide to eating sportfish in ontario to see if they are safe to eat around the great lakes ares & watersheds...but yes they are very tasty. ...good-luck cheers

WOW...thats an epic journey !!!!!!! man thats sure along ways from georgian bay....im surprised that he didnt swim up one of the smaller tributarys on the french way further downstream.....well you got to give him credit,great catch and i bet he got the shock of his life when he seen it was a salmon...thanks for sharing....cheers
