  5. Yes the fish were very spooky, with all the boat traffic,i tried to stay well away from them, and you could see the walleyes streaking down to deeper water it was only a few times where you could see them comming up for a look, and as the day went on the walleyes went deeper in an attempt,to get away from the shadows caused by the boats.....

  9. Well i decided to hit the bay of quinte again today seeing how yesterday we did well,so i thought they would be hitting again this morning....well i was right so kevin and myself headed down to picton this morning at 4:30am,....by 6:00am we were crossing on the ferry at glenora to get to the boat launch on the north side, well kevin is the rookie today and was eager to learn about the bay of quinte, and how to get those big walleyes to co-operate,so we get all set up,the same as i did yeasterday headed east towards the kieth shoal area,to a few spots i had marked on my GPS where i was seeing baitfish, and the big hooks that were walleyes following them,so just as keving got his 2 roids with in-line planners set up,BANG fish on!!!!! the planner takes a backwards dive....yup thats a big fish !!!!!...so thats how are day began...kevin lands that one and is now hooked for life,he cant believe his eyes !!!! a nice 12lb walleye.....caught on a deep diver reef runner back 110ft down about 24ft....we then started to work the area over as i was trying to stay away from the other boats as it was calm and very bright so i knew that the fish would be very easily spooked !!!!! so all the hard work payed off,we then ended up catching 4 more big walleyes all between 6-12 lbs,and several times during the day it was sunny,no wind, then cloudy and wind it was a weird weather day for sure.... all were taken off the boards, with either reef runners or deep-diving tail-dancers,and one fish off the manns stretch+20....i so we did very well considering we didnt see any other fish caught ,and the bright calm conditions, there was alot of people that got skunked today....so heres our fish for the day !!!!!! 6lb,8lb,10lb,11lb,12lb walleyes.....so here are our well earned walleye pics so enjoy.and my partner has some more pics as well..man i cant wait till next weekend...when i do it all over again merland park here i come !!!!!!!

  14. Well my Salmon fishing buddy and myself hit the bay this morning ,real early as it was still dark we started by catching the glenora ferry across the reach to adulphustown, and started trolling right away towards the kieth shoal area ,and it wasnt long before i hit a nice walleye,on the manns stretch 20+ dr.death, back 95ft down about 22ft of the in-line board, after a nice fight landed a nice fat 11.5lb walleye !!!!!!. got her in a few pics and away she went, about 1 hr later my buds board went straight down, that means A BIG FISH !!!! sure enough she was another 12lb fish, man they were twins !!! she was caught on a reef-runner 95ft back and the same about 22 ft down...a real nice fish took a few pics and the same she was gone...well about another 2 hours went by and finally fish on....well again on the dr.death manns...at the same depth and same back...well another 12lb walleye...man it was amazing to get all 3 and to be the same size,by then the wind was increasing and at one point it was quite rough out and it stayed that way for the remander of the day....but it was very sunny and cold but ....it was ok,so we didnt get anything the rest of the day and packed things up around 2:30pm....we tried lots of different lures and even had a dipsey down way deep as we were marking alot of fish down around the 50-80ft mark but no takers...so that was our day on the BOQ...heres the pics enjoy !!!!!!!

  18. Well if you look right on our OFC site there is a whole section on fishing lodges & fishing packages, as well as a loge finder, and it covers alot of areas, the whole kawartha lakes region has a website as well...i cant remeber it but im sure if you GOOGLE IT you will have no trouble finding it...but give our own site a try,i was surfing it last week....the only hard part to it is to make up your mind which one to pick and what area & species of fish you want to catch !!!!!!good-luck

  24. Well like marc thorpe says, every year there are more muskies over 40lbs taken from the OTTAWA RIVER !!!!! than anywhere else, there has also been 4 or 5 taken that are over 60lbs.. ..oh man would that ever be nice !!...so i think either there or the st.lawrence or lake st.francis...and they are all connected,so thats where im going for a muskie trip next year for sure...the mighty ottawa river. ..man i love it there
  25. well i have the book right here in front of me and there is a conversion chart, from 6lb line right up to20lb line its on page 9 from the front,of the bookfor example:::: at 20ft down with 20lb diameter, instead of using 10,your lure will be at 17ft,thats the conversion, and as the deeper you go that number will change....its confusing to type what it means but its easy to see in the book...does that make any sense????i typed it just like it says
