I have fished it several times,and its fair fishing for bass,caught mostly small largies,i know that it doesnt take to long to fish it,but you will get a few medium sized bass,thats all we ever caught i also know residents in the area that have lived there for 30+ yrs,and they say fish other lakes instead,its kinda a waste of a day,but if you do fish it,let us know how you do good-luck !!!!

Yes like spiel said thats the only way,other than running wire dipseys,or using 50-60-70lb test,they are verythick right now,and will be for a few more weeks,then they will die off,you must have not fished the big lake for a while its like this every year,you have to just get the fle-flicker,it works very well,get the 20lb test,and make sure you use quality snaps & swivels as the line really will twist bad....

Glad to hear they took care of you and that they are offering a replacement !! it shows at least they care about their customers...cheers to pure fishing !!!! Oh and by the way,i prefer to fish for walleyes with the gulp 3"minnow but at certain times they will hit a gulp3"leech as well,so they both are great in my books and i use them quite frequently !!!!

Awesome scary power for sure !!!!!!. ...i seen one out over lake ontario about 6yrs ago south of pickering ontario,we were about 4 miles from it,and we were shaken up for a while after no doubt,were you that close roy,thats pretty dangerous bud...be careful !!!!!

Well anders,if you want you can send me a pm,and i would be glad to give you a few tips,and different ways to run those,and yes they do work,as does the other equipment,i guess for biteme they dont,but i would be glad to help you...cheers p.s i use them all the time !!!!

Well done man !!!! now get in a boat and get down to the south end of the lake,to south bay,and troll a gold/silver williams wobbler,over 90ft of water,near the first island,and send it down to about 55-65ft !!!!! and you will be even more happy with her having a cottage up there, some real nice smallies there as well,some very big trout in chandos too !!!we will be wait ting for your first report/pics...cheers

Right on mike !!!!! the new motor with fuel injection will fly man !!!...make sure every once in a while you run a bottle of injection cleaner through her as she is no different that the injectors on your car they need cleaning !!,you should notice a big difference in your fuel costs too,i bet the new motor will be better than that old evenrude you had for sure...cheers bud,it was nice meeting you that day at ernies shop...

Well on lake ontario its been a non-factor,because there has been little wind,but the last few days it has shifted,and the warm waters are here from the other side,and now theres a thermolcline starting up,so it will force the big fish farther out into the lake,its not a good sign!!!!..walleye fishing has been great but a bit of a decline as well due to the win ds,but it should get a little more stable in a few days according to the weather network !!!! im curious what others say in different areas..cheers

Well i have been awefull busy fishing lake ontario almost daily for about 2 weeks now trying to get a fish on the board for the great ontario salmon derby,and in the meantime i have probly caught well over 40 salmon & at least a dozen rainbows & a few nice cohos as well,some real nice ones but so far nothing over 25lbs and you need at least a 30lb fish to make it on the board for a week,to get a prize,i will get there but i just keep trying,so here are just a fewone is a nice chinook & the other is a real nice rainbow !!! enjoy cheers

I Was camping up north a couple of weeks ago and of course doing some walleye fishing,and doing quite well with lots of smaller 14-17inch fish being caught,and a few smallies and even a few small 25inch pike to boot,when i was seeing a few big hooks on my lowrance off a deep drop going from 22ft of water and within a few feet it drops down to almost 50ft of water,well i made a few passes along the drop,and around the 42ft mark there was a few big hooks ,so i thought they might be lake trout as they are in this lake,so i was using one of my homemade floating worm harnesses,and a 2oz bottom bouncer,with a big dew worm,and i trolled it along the drop one last time,and band "FISH-ON !!!! well after a few mins i was really feeling the big head shakes,and short drag pulling runs that can only be yup...walleye !!!! well up she came to the surface,and i knew she was a good size fish but,man i was suprised to see a huge walleye,so i netted her really quick,and precise..and loaded her into the livewell,and made the 6 mile run back to the campsite/resort,where i could get her weighed,and mesured,so i could release her unharmed...well they were all shocked as there has not been a walleye caught that they know of for over 20yrs,and thats how long ago they were stocked in that lake...so they took pictures of me & my fish and put the pictures at the front of the resort wall for everyone to see,she was weighed on official toledo scales as they have pike & bass derbies for the resort on the lake,so she was official at 10.3/4 lbs 33"inches long and was released to be caught another day,so we do know that the fish is 20yrs old,she was a blast to catch so here are the pics,oh ya and this one is for our team catch 22 !!!!ya baby and the release shot !!!! and here are a few more pictures from the place were at enjoy!!!!!!!

The gulp alive in the 3"minnow emerald shinner will work very well for several species of fish,specially walleyes,so i think thats your better bet,but i wouold buy both so its up to you !!! good-luck cheers

Well at last count 43 rods and about 50 reels !!!!!! heck i have almost 20 that are just walleye rods,and 10 or so just for salmon fishing on lake ontario,you need a new chart for us hardcore guys !!!!!!....
