HEY CC!,,, Since your a trout guy.... Sucker belly *the real fatty part... Is great laker bait. Tip a real heavy jig head with some sucker belly and jig it off bottom in deep lakes... It works like no other... I know everyone has their tricks but sucker belly for laker is a killer... I picked it up from a fishing show years and years ago.. But back to pike... Pike always look for the biggest easy meal avail. Another tip for fishing pike with big minnows. Is to cut the tail off... It will make the minnow struggle and send scent into the water. The struggle will attract preadator fish along with the blood scent. Don't cut too much off just where it starts to become fin.

Chipmunks work good too...lol I have seen one get smashed by a pike... But this time of year I think anything odd and big will induce a big pike strike. They are low on fats and want a big easy meal. Try a slow retrieve to make it look like its struggling to swim. Check the laws but what works good is some big frozen herring or anchovies. I know it sounds weird but anything frozen thats considered oily will leave a nice scent trail. and the oil will make it seem like a high fat easy meal.

Give her the key and tell her she owes 500.00 in change for clearing up that racoon problem. Tell her you had an exterminator come in. And that "not to worry, I took care of it." Then just before you move let the little garbage pickers have free run of the house.... Entice the racoons with some treats right on in to the house. ... Either that add a skunk to the basement so the racoons have a buddy!

When does it start?

PP on my baitcaster no other options in my mind -
all the floatation has been moved to the back seat and underneathe the centre casting platform will be styrofoam (the pink sheets) and foam spray... For flotation and for sound deadining. My casting seck is 5 and 3/8 high off the hull so it will help with the centre seat removal. The boat itself to is prob about 18 gauge so its pretty sturdy. I will be double and triple checking flex issues. I only have a 4 stroke 15 honda on it so it ain't no racer lol. plus I mostly troll everywhere any how lol. and so far on materials I have spent 80 on aluminum I need to spen another 30 and 6 on rivets, 10 on special butyl caulking, wood will cost me 50 and carpet is 5.60 a yard. and 20 more for screws and contact cement for carpet. I am recycling as much as possible, an 5 gallon pail cut in half for a bait livewell and a cooler will sacrifice its life at the beach to become a fish live well.

Well At first I was worried about that too, but my old back seat wasn't a bench it was just a side seat. so when I removed the middle bench i put it where my old 1/4 seat was and now its a solid bench across. It seems extreamley solid now. and the area between the back seat and front doesn't really have flex. But the aluminum floor bracing ( 3/8 thick 1" Inside diameter) is also going to put some extra strength back there too. I also have made the front bench an extra 1.5 wider so that will help aswell.

okay here the progress so far... I have made my back seat into a bench, framed in the front casting deck, and started the frame work for the floor.... I ran out of aluminum tubing.... So I have to pick up a bit more materials then I will complete the floor framing. then add wood then carpet and voila!

simce poacher caught convicted and fined
ryanheritage replied to Terry's topic in General Discussion
I figure if he got caught this time how many times has he got away with it.???????! I do believe that if you get busted poaching or something similar they should be hit with a huge fine. I just feel if he was made an example of and it hit the media alot more people would think twice before they kept a fish out of season. I would have seized his license and all things he used to do his crime, fined him 10,000 for each fish out of season and made him clean 10k of shoreline. But thats just me. Even though it wasn't worth the 1000 bucks those two fish Im sure if he had to face my sentence he wouldn't have even considered keeping those fish. -
simce poacher caught convicted and fined

They sould have made an example of him. He is a repeat offender, it's not like its his first time. Like seize his van or something real serious. Even if he wasn't convicted and got his van back I'm sure he wouldn't risk it again. And anyone else that heard what he was going through or went through would think twice before they poach. -
Whats 300W? eh? T.J. My boat is a tiller and I am going to use alum and wood. I am dreaming that it will be a real easy conversion. lol

The world was flat, that was common knowledge until Chris Columbus sailed around it.. Be careful not to have an open mind or else you could fall off the edge of the earth.
