Are you looking to go tommorow ? friday march 2? -
Good job!!! What a beautiful bird.Make sure you stay on top of animal services rippinlips. Find out if they need donations or if you have a number for me to call. I don't have the upmost faith in what they will do. They took a racoon from me when I was younger that I had raised for two years, the raccoon lived in my backyard but had befriended me and followed me everywhere. I would have this little guy on my shoulder or backpack (i know cliche) but he was no threat becuase we fed him and took care of him from a young age. He was free to come and go as he wanted. My dad and I built a little home for him and the racoon was even friendly with my dog. Needless to say he was a close to domestciated as possible. Loved people and pets. Since we had taken care of him I don't think he was a savy hunter or animal. Needless to say one day when I was walking with him in my pack animal control stopped me and took him because of a bylaw in oshawa about exotic pets. They realesed him at darlington park without any regard for his ability to survive. To make matters worse it was sept when they decided to "confiscate" him and "set him free" meaning he had no home and no food stores. Since then I am not 100% sure of the abilities by a goverment agency. If anyone who reads this comes across a similar situation with whatever animal get in touch with me I know a wildlife rehab centre just north of ajax call second chance wildlife sanctuary. They take and help everything from cats all the way to deer. P.S. She also always needs support i.e. donations (pet food, money anything) or volunteers. But again good job on saving that little guy.

So what you think? A bad boy tipped with minnow? or a spreader? lol .....It's great that there are still new species being found but at the expense of our ice shelfs ??? it's a bit scary to me. Has anyone seen the movie by Al Gore called an inconvienent truth? great movie but a little scary. Really cool fish though.

I HATE ROGERS.... But unfortunately I hate ma bell aswell. Both companies are crooks. And all I can suggest is you call rogers customer retention and tell them you gona go to bell and they will bend over backwards to keep you. I have hdtv free for a year right now and my box is only a penny for a yr. But I still hate them both. I am thinking of Voip and just getting a really good internet connection and hooking it up to my TV so I have web tv. Or just cancelling it all and just fish.

I am not sure if this is gona upset anyone I hope not. I think this is a great disscusion Hey T.J. , I do hear and understand your issue for sure. The thing is to me though is that unfortunately our children need to be aware of the horrible things that are out in this world now adays. I have a 6yr old son (amlost 7) he lives with his mom who protects him from the world, I don't feel that this is the best action though Im afraid for him because he is becoming so trusting of people. I am not saying all people are bad and he shouldn't trust I just feel he should be aware of the possibility that bad people do exist and they can affect him. I don't divuldge all info on what rape and murder are but I do keep on him to not talk to strangers, stay away from places, etc,etc.... I understand that you want to keep your childrens ears from anything that can rob them of their innocence but at the same time I would rather my child be upset then missing or hurt. I want him to be weary of people's intentions I want him to be cautious but I want him to learn it from not being censored from the news or media. I feel instead of censoring the media or the news we need to work on how to stop the news from happening. We need as parents to raise our children with ethics, morals, esteem, confidence and all the abilities and skills that the low life criminals and degenerates didn't get by their parents. I believe it's our children that can change the way the future is heading but I think the way to start that is by awareness. That balcony rapist he attacked someone I know, she sued the police because the police knew she was the next target but failed to inform her so she didn't differ from her daily routine so that she would be used as "bait" . Her book is called Jane Doe. I think about those poor kids in blackstock that were in cages, all the abuse happing and I want my child aware that this is something that can happen to anyone. I do think the CRTC should have a rating system and that talkshows should have a disclaimer but its our decision to let our children be aware or unaware.

Hey what's this tourney thing about? ??//

Wow!! I guess I have been missing out. Its funny cause as soon as the season opens for pike and pickerel at my lake I can't keep the pike off my line. They are an every second cast fish, that I enjoy because they are great fighters even when they are only about 12-24 inches. In early spring we use top water for some unstopable action and it never even occurred to eat one cause I have been told they are fishy and bony. Now I am itching to get out and catch a few and fry em up. I guess a pike fish fry is in order this spring.........
-
Thanks Guys!!!! I will be definetly putting a pike on the table then, you guys have convinced me.
-
I noticed a couple posts about how pike is a good eating fish. I am having some difficulty in believing this as I think that smell they have would be something that would be in the flavour of the fish. I do alot of fishing on Bob's Lake north of Kingston and I catch ALOT of pike but have never eaten one. Can anyone enlighten me as best way to cook or how the taste? I am a catch and release guy but I normally take one fish for dinner but never even considered pike.

Niagara on the Lake to require special fishing permits
ryanheritage replied to bigfish1965's topic in General Discussion
It should also be mentioned to the local business's as they the town would be affecting the fishing tourism in the area. I have a hard time understanding why any municipality would want to hinder having people spending money in their area. We should load up the wagons and go on a politician hunt...... yesseree -
Hey welcome, Hope all is well..... When you say white lake are you talking north of kingston? I have a cottage on greater bobs lake (bucks bay) And so far that's the best fishing for me. Frontenac county. Well have a good one and enjoy lots of real nice people here.

I don't want to hurt the dog I just want to scare him. A wet cold dog is the worst thing in a house. It comes in jumps on the couch to get warm, tracks water and crap through the house.( by the sounds of your neighbors they need that) A good scare will keep that dog in his yard or at least close to his front door.
