  1. Well I am on my second Ducane. The first lasted 10 years and all it needs is a new burner.Since I won it I decided it owed me nothing so I bought a new stainless steel Ducane from Home Depot 2 years ago,the cost was 800 bucks includes side burner and rotisserie. These are the only grill on the market that is truly all stainless steel including the screws. I would not even consider any other BBQ.Can't go wrong.
  2. good thing you got the extended warranty you will need it. I have had one for 2 years now and if not for the warranty I would have spent about 3 grand on it.It has a lot of issues and once the warranty is gone so is it. I hope you have better luck with yours ,hopefully they have improved since the 07 model.
  3. for a big town i would say North bay.It has everything you could want and is surrounded by great fishing opportunities. For a small village Restoule I have been going there for 20 years now and will be again this summer.
  4. I use to regularly embarress the owners of the Irocs with 350 TPI and all the 5.0 mustangs back in the late 80's with my Buick Grand National. I still own it today with only 90 ks on it.
  5. thanks for the replies. The question is not for myself but for my wife. I work in health care and she is looking at trying to be a sucessful business person. She is getting a severance package and would like to explore the option . Keep the replies coming. thanks
  6. Just like to get a little feed back on some businesses. If you had 50-70.000 dollars to open or buy an existing business which would you look at? I have been thinking something in service to cater to the aging population. At this point I am flexible and would consider just about anything.Just like to get some feedback from others who own businesses or know about the marketplace. I would like to operate it from the London area, but I would also be willing to relocate. Thanks for any words of wisdom. If you don't want to post on here feel free to email me at [email protected] thanks
  7. I have a 1 year old (used twice now) Fish Trap Guide, excellent condition I am hoping to find someone looking to downgrade. I am looking for a Fish Trap Yukon. I will trade the guide plus cash for a Yukon in very good condition. thanks.
  8. all our thoughts and prayers. Have they ruled out high blood sugar(diabetes) My son was diagnosed 2 years ago and had similar symptoms.
  9. I stayed there once. It seemed okay small park though. The fishing was good for pike and bass. There are lots of islands so it would be easy to get lost so we never ventured far for the 3 days there. There was some good walleye fishing further out in the bay but we stayed closer. For a couple days it would be okay but for a week or longer there are larger parks in the area that offer more activities.
  10. Pick up a TRIAD at your local variety store. There are a few trailer places in Hamilton and Brantford that sell 13 inch trailer tires on white painted rims for 49.99 I got a pair at Trailer World in Brantford. These are blias ply, radials are about 25 bucks more.Cheapest price around.
  11. a cover for a a Fish Trap Guide. I tried to pick one up in Michigan last week and was told "good luck" the was not a one in the state. Some sort of mix up happened and none where shipped there. Is there a dealer here in Ontario who might have one? thanks
  12. anyone in the Windsor area the Columbia Outlet has Columbia PFG fishing vests on clearance from regular price of 100 bucks marked down to 19.99. Two different styles good selection left on friday evening when I was there. Very nice vest. I picked up 2.
  13. the 1080p will only make a difference if you have a blu-ray player,everything else is 720p.
  14. just went through this myself ended up with a Samsung 50 inch plasma. Like someone said earlier Plasma is the better picture over LCD.If you are putting it in a light controlled room go for for plasma. D o not pay an extra 4-500 dollars for a 1080 p unless you have a blu-ray player or plan on buying one. All HD signals for satelite or rogers is in 720 p and will be for many more years.
  15. great idea lets let the big three go down and take thousands of jobs in Ontario with them. It won't be just the big three workers that will be out of a job. All the parts plants, suppliers truckers and so on. One in 7 jobs in Ontario is in the auto sector. No natter who you are what you do for a living if it disappears you will feel it. The revenue the government gets back from income tax, corporate tax,and sales tax from these jobs out weighs any buy out money. Sorry to say Ontario needs a healthy auto sector to have a sound economy.Thats is why there will be a buy out because smart people know the importance of this industry. And no I am not a auto worker ,I work in the health care field.
  16. well bestbuy told me to come in a pick out a new TV to replace the Hitachi that died last week. Thank god I purchased the extended warranty. What should I get LCD or plasma? What brand name can anyone suggest? I was thing the 52 inch Sony Bravia LCD or the 50 inch Panasonic Viera Plasma. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.I have to go in this weekend to pick one. thanks.
  17. Sterling Trucks in St,Thomas just announced itis closing in March.Another 700 people will be out of a job joining the other 1300 already on layoff from there. Thats 2000 familes affected. Combine that with the other plant closings in Ontario and we are talking almost 10,000 high paying jobs lost forever. Thats not counting the ripple down affect this will have on other businesses . In the last 1.5 years St.Thomas alone there have been over 3500 high paying jobs lost and the Ford plant is slated to close in 2010. This trend needs to stop.
  18. Best bet would be the Thames. Try out in Delaware, the bridge by the speedway. There should be some walleyes around and maybe a few chinook by now.. The dam below Fanshawe has a mixed bag. I have caught several pike there with a minnow under a float.
  19. 2 days ago a blue light spot appearred in the middle of my Hitachi 50 inch lcd projection tv. Anyone know what would this be? thanks
  20. All I have ever done for over 20 years is water hardened them in the stream, when I get home just add a spoon of table salt. They stay firm and can be refrozen over and over with no problems.I still have some from 5 years ago that look great.
  21. well it was shortly after 9am on a very similar type morning as today bright and sunny when walking through the Canadian Tire store here in St.Thomas with my 2 year old son I noticed a few people huddled around a small TV that was on display watching first tower burning. My first thought was just a plane off course merely an accident, then wham along came the second, I thought no way was this an accident.Rushed home and spent the rest of the day glued to the TV. R I P to the inocent lives lost that day.
  22. If you want to cach lots of fish in the 40-48 inch range try Lake St.Clair. It has a huge musky population and several charters that cater to them.
  23. I have a older minkota foot control 28lb thrust, just want to know if anyone knows what kind of amperage it will draw? I am going fishing/camping for 6 days in a tent to Restoule and will not have any electricity to re-charge the battery. Just want to see how long the battery will last . thanks.
  24. check out the Restoule river one. Runs into the French River. Great route takes about 3-4 days.Good fishing.
