I catch dropbacks right to the first week of june on a couple huron tribs I fish and the best part I am usually the only one on the river. They are there fish deep holes close to the lake you will find them.

If you in the St.Thomas area and are looking for a 16 ft. side console fishing boat in the 10,000. dollar price range I saw one yesterday on county road 45 just east of hiway 73. It is a 2001 Starcraft starfire. 50 4-stroke merc. Fully loaded real nice boat. He does not have it advertised anywhere but just parked at the road. I can vouch for the boat because have the exact boat myself and love it.

personally I say go for bigger. When I bought my first boat 20 years ago as a kid (21) the guy I bought from warned me saying once you own a boat you are always wanting a bigger better one. He was right and now 4 boats later guess what I am wanting a bigger faster boat yet again. Back to your question there is minimal difference lauching and trailing a 14 or 16. If price is not a factor I say go for the 16 because if you don't you will wish you did.

Restoule- fishing in the park without a boat is tough. You can try the dog beach dock(pike, bass). If you walk to the point on Stormy past the outdoor center there are a few spots to fish from shore.(pike, bass) and along the river between stormy and restoule. Just outside of the village is Barton Lake right along the road. You can shore fish here for bass and pike. Best bet would be to rent a boat from Martins Camp and talk to Bing(owner). He knows the area like nobody else and will set you in the right spot. Shore fishing in the park is very limited due to the very shallow shoreline but you can catch bass from the shore and the docks. Good luck

ST.Thomas right in the middle of probably the worst fishing in ontario without driving a hour or so in any direction.

below fanshawe dam in London. small minnows and small hooks. You usually hook them in the snout.

I have came across a few over the years up at Cypress Lake on the Bruce. Last year while speaking to the Park Warden in Restoule PP he told me there had been at least 3 confirmed sightings in the park. They were once native to that area and apparently are making a comeback.

time to spool up the new baitcaster.(Abu 6500 C3) I will be using it for casting musky/pike baits as well as trolling bodybaits. What line would be the best all round for this and what test? I was thinking braid but i think there are better options for casting. thanks

check it late in the spring the dropbacks will use this after spawning. On the tribs I fish we catch dropbacks all the way into mid june always in deep pools.

just a warning about rear projection LCDs. The lamp will go about after 5000 hours or roughly 2 years or less. These are not covered under any extended warranty and will run you about 4-500 to replace. My just went on my Hitachi after about 20 months. After searching I was able to find one on line for about half price. To do it over I would go with plasma or a true LCD.

I use to camp in the park and fish the lake. We always caught walleyes usually 3 or 4 a day. They are definately there but not in great numbers. I caught most of mine at the waterfalls in both of the pools. Also had descent luck on a few shoals around islands.

the fans were booing because of the non call by the refs and the cheap shot by Carlo on the habs captain. Justice was served thou by injuring himself on the attempted cheapshot. I see no problem with the booing.

well I have been making a rink in my backyard for about 7 years now. I have 3 kids that play hockey with 2 oldest playing AAA and AA(girl). My rink is 25x45. I frame it in with 1x12 rough pine ,use metal braces in the corners and stake it on the outside every 2-3 ft. I than buy a 30x50 clear(use clear or white only,no blue) tarp for about 80 bucks from Rona. My yard is not level so I end up with 8 inches of ice on one side and about 4 on the other. We skated for about 2 weeks before and during the holidays but since the warm spell I now have a small lake. But it is starting to refreeze and should be good to go by next weekend. The long range is calling for very cold temps til the end of the month. Lots of work but well worth it. The kids use it every day they can and I even bought an old arena net they use for shooting. It is the perfect size for a game of 2 on 2.

Looks like I will attempt to pull the guide out of the box today or tomorrow and put it together. Just looking for some tips or suggestions on this and roughly how long am I looking at. I don/t want to get half way done and run out of time. I am guessing around 2 hours. Please give me your do's and don'ts thanks.

well searching around and talking to a repair tech these bulbs usually last about 1-2 years normally something about using all the gas inside the bulb..Funny how the best buy sales guy never mentioned that, spending 3-400 every 18 months on a bulb. Also there is a class action suit against Panasonic for this very reason. It seems there bulbs are needing replacing every year or sooner. Nice spend 2500 on a tv and then spend another 400 a year to keep it working. It is almost like the manufactors want the TV industry to go the way of the small appliance industry. Make cheaper products to the point where it is cheaper to buy new than repair. Just imagine the landfills in 20 years full of microwaves, toasters, dvd players and now maybe tvs. I wish I couild buy a 50 inch old school tube.

Well my 1 year old 50 inch LCD projection TV died last night. I paid 2000 for it plus another 400 for bEST BUYS PSP COVERAGE. Well guess what ,useless, the bulb went and the warranty won't cover it and a new bulb cost about 500 bucks. So now I have a 1 year old tv that needs another 5oo dollars spent on it . Then what another 500 next year and the next. What a freaking joke. I have a 20 year old tv in my room that has never needed anything. Why is everything they make these days junk. Take this advice tell the best buy guy to shove his PSP coverage when tries to sell you one,the most important stuff is not covered. And stay away from Hitachi TVs.,complete junk just check consumers report. So i guess I need another new tv. Any suggestions? Who has a TV that is at least 2-3 years old and still loves it.

I actually have a brand new guide still in the box in my garage. I have been debating whether or not to keep it with 3 kids playing rep hockey my time for fishing has disappeared. I would like to keep it but have not decided what to do.

would like to try LSC tomorrow since the huron tribs have no water. We would like to try for some musky, eyes or even perch. We were thinking of heading out from the mouth of the thames. If anyone would like to suggest a few spots or starting areas for these targets please do.We are very much beginners on LSC so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

well normally we hit the niner and maitland for some salmon and bows but since the tribs are bone dry we are going to try LSC for some eyes and musky -
I would also but iI get my wife to pull the boat with one vehicle while I pull the trailer. If I had to take only one it would be the boat.

I am thinking of selling my 2000 tent trailer to replace it with a newer tent trailer with a slideout or a hybrid trailer.Fact is I need more room. I travel with my trailer once every summer about 6 hours. I like the idea of the hybrid being more stable and without the set up of a tent trailer. The weight for both is about the same give or take a 100 lbs. What concerns me is the increased drag and cross drag from pulling the hybrid oppossed to the packed down tent trailer. I am sure this will result in more gas being burned but also the stress and strain on the pull vehicle. What I am asking if there is anyone who has went from a tent trailer to a hybrid and what to expect.Do you regret the change? Should I stick with the tent trailer for the long hauls or suck it up with the extra fuel and stress for the more convenient trailer? Any in put would be great. Also is it just me that when you go from a tent trailer to a more contained trailer you cross the line that is farther from camping and more to excess? thaNKS
