  2. check this out http://www.duenorth.net/martinscamp/ It is about 3 hours north of Toronto, great fishing, great beach, lots of water to boat on and explore. Best part is very uncrowded unlike similar lakes further south. Nice relaxing area lots of crown land, canoe routes and back land camping. You can fish some of the smaller lakes in the area and have it to yourself.
  3. Hey Bing I am up in Restoule every summer and catch all kinds of minnows while I am there.Try soft dog food iside a trap. There are a few good streams up there that always produce for me. Also try dip netting of Stormy dock.
  4. well if your talking E-TEC newer then there is a huge difference in gas milage, noise, and no smoke. If not quite that newer than there will be less difference in smoke or noise.
  5. Lets see I have had a 93 30 hp tiller for about 12 years, great motor love it never a problem but lots of smoke. I also have a 75 6 hp same thing runs great lots of smoke. 3 years ago I bought a 2001 40 hp 4 - stroke. Love it super quiet and no smoke at all. And yes better gas mileage.
  6. I was kind of hoping to avoid the 401 and 407 due to morning traffic. It should be the fastest as long as you don't hit a snag.

  11. I am looking at buying a tent trailer from a private sale in Michigan. Does anyone know what cost is to import back here. I am guessing GST and a trailer permit. Is there any duty? If so how much(%). thanks for any help
  12. Where about are you getting that for that price? Is that the canadian dealer price?
  13. I bought it to help reduce the bugs around our campsite at Restoule PP. The mossies are thick and I hate covering the kids in deet all the time. I will be placing it away from us to draw them away. It comes with a lure.
  14. that is a type of shad. the Thames is full of them in the spring. They are so thick below Fanshawe dam you can't help but snag them.
  15. Has anyone tried one of the Stinger bug zappers? Walmart sells them starting at about 45 bucks up to 75 bucks. I bought one that is 3000 volts and covers up to a .5 acre. I bought at Walmart in the US for about half the price. I have not tried it out yet just wondering if anyone has tried one and what they thought about them. I am hoping they keep the bugs away while camping this summer to reduce the use of deet. thanks
  16. thanks Brifishrgy I will try next time I am there.
  17. Checked it out today after I drove around looking for it for about an hour. Bad directions and a lot of people in Brantford have no clue . Just wondering what might be caught below it. I was thinking smallies, pike and maybe walleye? Tried for a hour with my son and he had a blast with a couple dozen rock bass and one smallmouth. Is there a better spot in Brantford to fish? thanks
