Must have been 4-5 years ago when I first met Chris for ice fishing. His mom came out, pulled up a chair and hung out with us. It was great. I wish they made more young adults like him.

We were closing up my parents cottage, I couldn't have been older then 7-8. It was an overcast very windy day and my dad would always say 'this is Muskie weather'. We were drifting across a weedbed, I was using my lucky Crayfish Coloured Big-O. I remember fighting it for about 2 to 3 minutes and it jumped. My mom stuck the net out and nabbed it out of mid air. I was excited I caught a Muskie but I wanted to fight it more. I'd say it was 30-32 inches.

A Hyundai Tucsan. It won't be going near water. Some gravel road but nothing 'soft' They have a Santa Fe right now but they will be selling that in a few months.

Hi guys, My dad has been talking to me about getting a trailer for hauling stuff up to the cottage. He is torn between a Galvanized trailer that weighs 800 pounds and costs $1400 or an Aluminum trailer that weighs 350 lbs and costs $2000. I can see the Galvanized trailer being more durable but costing more fuel to tow. Also if it gets stuck I can see it not being very easy to get out. Is there anything else I am missing? Any guys with trailers have past experiance on which they prefer?

I loooooove island lake. Lots of little bays, tons of fish and the city is a 2 minute drive away for snacks or a bathroom break. 100% reccomend island lake.

From what I remember last year, the Steelhead and brown trout were uncommon (1 in ever 3 to 1 in 5 fish) but Chinooks were baaaaad. Almost every fish had them.

A few years ago I had some ice fishing gear that had rusted. 12 hours in CLR and they looked good as new. I'm told they will never be as sharp but that is just good hookset practice.

We were getting a lot of those last year and taking samples. If you'd like I can put you into contact with someone at the TRCA that was looking into it.

I know bass are all season. If you go to Cloud Lake south of Thunder Bay there is some great shore fishing. Have fun.
