Thanks bud. I got lucky. Both my pa and my grandad look about 15 years younger then they are too. Guess it got passed down.

Fresh faced out college. When I was 23 I did 2 years in Western Ontario. Going through there on the way to and from Edmonton doesn't count. Though I wish I stayed longer. (I'm 31 in October That's supposed to be a B and a ) but that works too.

I figured from your username you were either living in Manatou or on the Manatoulin islands. That being said, I'm due to get back up that way again and I want to take my grandfather fishing in Ear Falls at Bluffy lake. Just need a job that gives me vacation time.

I know up north they have 'silver pike' it's just a different colour phase. May be similar with this as well. Like blue walleye.

Least none of you are from or have been to Alberta. Out there they give all the bad drivers red letters on their licence plates. No worries boys. Ahead of the Yankees. Never look back. I remember when I was a kid (late 80's early 90's) it seemed like the jays were in the playoffs every year. We were so spoiled we didn't even realize. Then 1994 hit and everything changed. With the leafs being terrible and me not being a big basketball fan I don't know if I should feel beyond excited or just cautiously optimistic.

Ah. Chad you are correct. Good thing you know what I'm talking about. Half the time I don't know what I'm saying. I'll be honest bud, this has been on my mind since the moment you posted it. I really hope you and the Missus are doing ok. Even just thinking about it makes my stomach uneasy. Know that you are in all of our thoughts and we hope you can heal from this tragedy.

It's so strange. Sometimes guys will make a fuss over the smallest thing just because they are jerks, sometimes there are other factors. Years ago my buddy and I were walking along the sidewalk and this guy going the other way yelled at us for hogging the sidewalk. So my buddy yells back at him and we keep walking. Two minutes later that same guy catches up to us and apologizes. Says he has had the week from hell. We took him for a beer and let him tell us all about it. Super nice guy. Sometimes you never know.......

I wouldn't have touched it. Sometimes for people, it's just luck. That being said, it was an honest mistake. You laugh if off and shrug it off and say 'maybe next time' Their response was uncalled for and just plain rude. Never make the kiddies cry and a comment of 'you shouldn't have brought him along' is the worst possible attitude I can imagine.
