  1. I pay $160 for a 96 puma 340 2 up. I only use it for fishing, so its very worth it IMO. Hard to beat reliable transportation on the ice! Sinker
  2. Don't forget the snomobilers
  3. Yup, that sure works good! Especially in the little red hut
  4. 4lb test, medium size split shot and a #12 eagle claw wide gap with a lively shiner hooked in the Sinker
  5. I recommend Canadian whiskey.......
  6. Thanks Brandon
  7. The waterfowl pics made me think of some of the pics I've taken this fall while duck hunting. I've witnessed some awesome sunrises, and some really nasty days. Heres a few..... There are 2 real ducks in this one..... That's enough.....I could keep going, but I don't want to kill it. Sinker
  8. Nice pics!! Next to fishing, waterfowl are my next hobby. You have american wigeon, mallards, and a coot in those pics.......oh...and a couple seagulls.......lol. Keep them coming, its a great time of year for waterfowl pics! Sinker
  9. Its the same thing, just the other one the ice shows up better for me.
  10. Nonsense.....I've been catching them in there for 20 years!! Sinker
  11. Nice.......thanks for that!!! Sinker
  12. I have it written on a calender from 1989. 3" of clear ice, 17 walleye caught, biggest 4lbs. Still open water on the east side of the lake, snowing, -8, with winds 15k Nw Season used to open on the second Sat. in may, and stay open until march 31 back then........and there used to be a lot more fish, with half the fisherman!! Sinker
  13. Its been frozen right across for almost 2 weeks now. I'd bet there's at least 6" of ice all the way across. I've fished scugog thru the ice on Nov. 11 before. Way back when the season didnt close until march 15th. Those were the days!! Sinker
  14. OK, but is it still 6 fish? That's no good......cause all the fish in the bog are under 18"....... Sinker
  15. By the looks of that ice, your losing heat out your roof. The heat is melting the snow, and causing those icicles. I'd take a look in the attic for proper insulation and ventilation. That's just not right at all. Sinker
  16. Dem newfies is some smart
  17. Congrats!! Nice buck for sure!! Sinker
  18. For most situations, I use 8lb mono as well. Walleye, whities, lakers.....all 8lb xt with a fluoro leader. For panfish, I usually have 4lb P-line fluoro ice. Sometimes I run a 2lb leader off that if its needed. I've tried the braid, and I find its a PITA. If does freeze on the spool, and if you want to get your line back down in a hurry......it really pisses you off after a while....lol. Good and sensitive, just frustrating for me. Sinker
  19. HAHA......that was my exact first thought as well. Hope it works out for ya.....assault is a bad one to have on record. Hope you don't plan on hunting for a while....... Sinker
  20. Yup, what he said.....^
  21. Don't back the trailer in far enough that it can get over the fenders. Just put it in deep enough that it will drive in between the rollers, but not over them. Once you find the sweet spot......take note of how deep the water is on your wheels......and keep that depth for next time you load up. It can't be that hard to get on the trailer.......just don't put the trailer in too deep! Sinker
  22. Thanks for the report Jeff!!! You win the prize for first ice report! Sinker
  23. Most of the roller trailers I've seen are self centering.......yours prolly is too. I don't have guides on my trailer, but my boat is easy to get on/off. The biggest thing I see is guys putting the trailer too far in the water.........I like the nose of my boat to hit the center roller between the bunks on my trailer......then I just winch it on slowly. It takes a few trial runs to see how the trailer is going to work best. Practice makes perfect. Sinker
  24. No kidding. I went by the launch at pleasant point yesterday evening to see if it was still open. It was. headed up there this morning with the boat in tow to try and get one more duck hunt in, and it was a no go. The ice has built up a lot over night, and that's with a stiff wind blowing. Amazing how fast it happens when conditions are right!! I'm getting the gear out today, and going for a road trip in the morning. MMMMM.......splake Sinker
  25. What forecast are you looking at? This is prime time to be out there......the colder the better IMO. Sinker
