I think your flasher helped me more than it helped you last time we were out Imagine......icefishing with NO electronics, and putting on a show Sinker

Good for you Brian. You must feel great! Sinker

There is no better way to spend a day, than fishin with a good buddy! Fish are just a bonus.......its all about quality time. I get the feeling you's fella's had some catchin up to do out there Glen. By the looks of the smiles, ya's both had a great day! Thanks for the warm report, Sinker
-
Yeah, I'm a graph kinda guy too. They all mark fish! Sinker

Simon, Glad to hear everything went well, and mom and baby are doing fine. Welcome to father hood, its one of those things that never goes away, and you never regret. Sinker

Is it a poured concrete basement, or block? Siding or brick? Is the original sill set flush to the iside of the foundation? If it is siding, and the sill plate is flush to the exterior of the foundation, you can just run a new sill on the inside of the old one, without removing the old one. Basically, you need to support the house (jack it up) on the floor joists inside the sill plate, remove the old one, and get the new one in around the anchor bolts. Not really that hard of a job, but a PITA more than anything. The section of the house where the joists run parallel to the sill plate will be the toughest part. Sinker

Buy up that 40 for cheap, sell it for a good price, then buy yourself a 25-30 with that money. I wouldn't put a 40 Stroke on the back of that springbok. It might be Ok for a little while, but after time, it will damage your boat. Not to mention it will be dangerously fast, and you could easily swamp the boat over the transom with that weight on the back of it. Sinker

Some of you guys need to learn how to read a little better. Tomfoolery has it right. Sinker

Crazy! Anyone hear from GCD today??

Thanks for the insight Dr Phil! I operate a little differently. If it was me that posted looking for someone who could take a dog from a friend who couldn't take care of it, the first poster would get dibbs on it. I would send that poster the contact info, and work from there........make sense to you? I dunno, maybe I'm not thinking clearly tonight??
-
Yeah, sour grapes. I was the first to reply saying I was interested. Then got a hard time because I asked a few questions, then someone else gets the dog because I wasn't on the board at the right time........Bull if you ask me. Sinker

Those new bolts for the swede bores are crap!!!! I've broke 2 sets already this season. I used my hand auger twice, both times with brand new blades, and both times the friggen bolts broke on me!!!! What a piss off!! The last time I lost one of the blades down the hole......dammit!!! Not impressed at all.......the old style bolts were much better. Sinker

So.....who got him?? It would have been nice if you just pm'd me the info. Thanks for nothing.... Sinker

They'd need to be about 1/2lb Cliff. Shaped like a J. More like a square J though. I have some here I'll take a picture for ya. I put a foot long piece of bungee cord on the end of my decoy lines, and attach the weights to that. Then the J weight hooks onto the keels of the decoys. Nice and neat, no weights falling off decoys and making tangles at O dark thirty The mould can be made from a peice of hardwood, and just routered out. I've used a 3 ft piece of wood, with 6 moulds in it. Just let them harden, and give the board a good smack with a hammer and they pop right out. I can even supply the mould. I'd take a whole bunch if your into making them. I could also use a half dozen the size of a tuna can, with something set in it to tie onto, for long line weights. If I had the lead, I'd make them myself. I can't seem to find anyone who wants to get rid of any. I've melted down my other strap weights into the j weights. It saves the paint on the heads of your decoys, and I find they hold better in a good wind. Sinker

They really are some great pictures Bernie. Keep them coming please. Some of those old sleds are amazing! Sinker

Geeze......tough crowd!! You there chickenhawk??

This I know......it was just a question. I'm looking for a hunting dog. I'd hate to take a dog that isn't built for it. I don't need papers, just a dog with some drive. It has to be able to keep up with my 2 kids

Nice report and beautiful fish, but seriously, and no offense meant, you need to find a new pose man! You do the same pose with every fish.....LOL........nice job on the launch too i might add Thanks for the report!! Sinker

Just make sure your batteries are the same. You will only get as much power as your lesser battery. If you use an old one with a new one, you'll only have as much power as the old one. Then its better to run them separate. Sinker

Sorry to hear that Bernie.......I know how you feel.....and it sucks! The only thing that would make a dog better, is if they lived as long as thier owners. Its always tough losing your best friend. We did the same a year and a half ago, and I'm just now looking for a replacement. Sinker
-
Need more info. Where is the dog located? Can I see him first? I'm assuming its a he?? Is he pure bred, meaning with papers?? Does he have any hunting in his blood lines?? I'm interested. Sinker

Geeze Dawg......you never cease to amaze me with your wisdom! The two man manual auger is the only way to go for newbies. I do the holding, they do "most" of the turning I don't let anyone touch my auger......ever. Sinker

I would also love to have that much lead lying around! I know most of my buds use wheel weights for making jigs too. You just have to take the crap off the top of the pot. If you wanted to make some decoy weights, I'd be more than happy to buy them off you Sinker

I have a magellan, and I really liked it more than my garmin, until it just up and quit on me. Its a lot more user friendly I found. If it didn't just croak on me, I'd use it all the time. The garmin has been flawless though.... Sinker

Nice pictures Brandon. That Drake pintail landing is awesome......makes my trigger finger itch just looking at it LOL. If you want to see some awesome waterfowl pictures, check out Ducks, Dogs and Decoys. Just google pitboss waterfowl and you should get it. The guy is amazing at in flight shots. You can see the shot before it hits the birds in some of his work.......amazing stuff!! He's also very willing to help out with information. Sinker
