The dead ones you saw were the ones I probably called in about last week. They were hammering them, and then once they reached thier limit (assuming) they started culling the smaller ones for bigger ones and releasing dead fish back. I was flipping on them, but to no avail. They just kept at it. I then called the tips line, with no real person on it to report what was going on. I even left long/lat for them to come find them. Nobody showed up, and they left before I did. I hope it was them who got nailed!!! That was probably my buddy you were talking to about the asian market. Camo boat? S.

Yes, I"m sure they are doing well in the fine department as well. Problem is, there shouldn't be all these fines. All they need to do is show a presence at these community fishing holes, and the guys who are doing the poaching will get the idea. These guys just don't give a rats ass, because they know, for the most part, they're not going to see a CO.... S.

I got launched no problem just down the street, but the point is I paid for a season pass, and couldn't get in. I have an earful for the owners when I see them. I dunno if I'd want to live beside a new condo complex is what I was getting at, not property values. No doubt it will fill up with a bunch of city riff raff and thier fancy boats, only now they will live there, and not just dock thier boats. Its too bad, but I knew it was coming. S.

You can argue all day long between yourselves, but if it was me, I would have walked up to the guys door, gave it a knock, started a conversation with him, and politely asked if I could fish "his" pond. Most times they will say go for it, especially if your just letting them go anyways. If you want to come out and be an and be ignorant about it, of course the guy is going to try and get you out of there. Whether he owns the property or not, he's kind of "adopted" it, and if you just asked him, I bet there would be no issue. Just sayin....... S.

Well, I hope it was one of my three calls about that spot that got the CO's out there finally. I still haven't talked to, or seen a real person doing any enforcement out there at all. I've seen a lot of fish get pulled out of there too, a lot of them illegally. Ignorant everywhere you go these days. S.

Hey Cliff, have you heard what is going on with the marina next door? I hear its been sold, and might be filled with condo's now?? That will suck!!!! Might be a good time to sell, rather than buy?? I tried launching there last week, and there was a chain locked across the driveway. Sucks!!! I've been launching there for over 20 years, and this is the first time I couldn't get in. So much for my season launch pass, eh? S.

I can let anyone I want shoot my guns, as long as they are in direct supervision of a person with a licence for that registered gun. One gun, one rookie, one person with licence is totally legal. As long as they were being supervised, they weren't doing anything illegal. S.

My smelt spot is just as sacred as my best brookie lake. There is no chance I'm gonna spill the beans. Put your time in searching, and waiting for them, getting wet, windblown, and cold.......then come on here and tell me your spot. Thats what I thought LOL S.

If its a large area, good luck! Its easy to control, but getting rid of it is nearly impossible. Trust me, I've been dealing with it for years. In this neck of the woods, its EVERYWHERE!! S.

you can kill poison ivy, but you can never get rid of it!! We spray it with round up, then cover the area with mulch. Seems to keep it away from areas we have kids for a while. S.

You won't get them driving around!!! I fished for 5 hours friday night. In 3 hours I had nothing. From 1030 till 1130 I hauled them, after that nothing again. You just gotta stick it out in one spot, they will come, its that time of year. S.

If you just have a small boat, there is a launch on Blairton Rd that is public, and free. You can also launch at Blairton Trailer park for a small fee. I haven't fished there much since the pike got in there, but used to fish it a lot back in the day for musky. We used to get a lot of musky in that lake about 15 years ago. Good numbers, and decent size too. If you get one now, buy a lottery ticket!! The pike have messed it up. Crappies are in there now too........ Ya can't go wrong trolling a mepps musky killer around the islands/weed edges. You'll get pike for sure. S.

See, this is just the stuff that gets me raging. Here is a guy, who seems decent enough, who gets nailed for something silly. Between the 3 guys on board, they were well under thier combined limits. No big deal IMO. Meanwhile, just down the lake, is a boat with 4 guys, keeping EVERYTHING that comes over the gunnels (bass included, and over limits) and gets away with it. Our justice system is a joke. I say we all take it into our own hands. The MNR is a JOKE!! Ministry of NO RESULTS!!!! I've been out for panfish 3 times, each time I witnessed infractions. Each time I called the tips line, one time leaving my GPS coordinates. Still NOTHING happens. I haven't even talked to a real person on that line yet. What a joke!!!!! Man, this stuff pisses me off!!!! I swear, the next ignorant that gets within casting distance of my boat, bumps into my boat, or i see keeping too many, or the wrong species of fish, is gonna push the wrong button, and I'm gonna snap...........then it will be ME who gets charged......such a JOKE!!! I'm usually a very calm, easy going, nice guy, but enough is enough!! To hear that you were charged for something so minor, while, on the same day I reported guys releasing dead fish, to keep bigger ones, really burns my I hope you go to court and it gets thrown out!! Does nobody work outside?? You all have some nice puters and stuff, but I would never last behind a screen all day. Not gonna happen. I have 11,000 acres of forest to keep clear and safe, that's enough to keep me busy S.

Is there a proper definition for icefishing?? I've never looked, and I couldn't be bothered right now. A lot of the time, I only use one line thru the ice anyways. S.
