We've been pounding them since mid week last week. Find warmer water, and you'll find 'em. S.

I was there once when I was about 19. Got hammered, and out of control I guess, cause they kicked me out Beauty spot, but the fishing sucked then. Good place for the kids, nice swimming, and good hiking trails. S.

Looks like there is still some ice out there, but there is some open water as well. Take a look here: http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.cgi/modis?region=o&page=1&template=sub&image=a1.11099.1822.LakeOntario.143.250m.jpg S.

Your right, I just had to put it out there!! Most people will do their "down east" trip, and never make it to the rock. Every person I know who has been there will tell you the same thing. You just don't find people like that anywhere else!! S.

I was talking to a guy today who told me three guys in a small aluminum were nailed with 300 crappies, bass, and sunfish recently out of scugog. Ignorant asses. I see it all the time with the panfish. EVERY SINGLE fish that comes over the gunnels, goes in the pot. There is no sense talking to these guys either, they just ignore, or play the no speak english card. Pisses me off to no end. Then you call the MNR tips line and nothing happens......GGGGGRRRRRRR S.

Well, if you want the real east coast experience, you HAVE to get off the mainland. The newfies know how to take care of ya. The mainlanders are just like everyone else, but the newfs are the best people on the planet!! You have to go there to understand that. I'm not kidding!!! S.

I was there today. They didnt have what I wanted. Apparently, the product had not arrived yet. No surprise, I don't go there for a reason. Pretty decent deals on crossbows if anyone is looking for one. S.

I'd call that normal.....the glue I mean. Looks like a great little rig. I can see some specks coming over the side of it real soon! S.

I have a buddy out there right now looking for the slabs S.

I still think its your choke. They are known for that. S.

Its not over till the fat lady sings! My buds hauled limits of jumbos out of simcoe yesterday, so its not over yet. My boat is ready though, so bring on the softwater!! S.

prime the hell out of the ball, hit the choke, and turn it over. I assume that's what your doing?? Maybe your choke isn't working?? Or your bulb on the fuel line is weak. Take the cowl off while you prime the bulb......do you see fuel going to the carbs? Its either not getting enough fuel to start it, or its getting too much and flooding out. S.

Rico, the weight difference isn't worth it. We're talking a couple pounds here. just get a 27series deep cycle and call it done. Mount it up front. You want to make sure you don't run out of juice, especially duck hunting! You never know what can happen out there!!! S.

I tell ya Cliff, its gotta be the hardest thing a man has to do. I've been there twice now, and it never gets any easier. I know how you feel. Its so hard when you know deep down, that its the right thing to do. I found for me, the best thing was to get another one to take thier place. Its the only downfall with dogs. They just don't last forever. 14 years is great, for any dog. He will live on in your heart and memories my friend. That, I know for sure. I think about my passed dogs all the time, and it always brings a smile to my face. S.

Nice rig Wiser!!! S.

Lots of snow, and no thaws for long periods of time. They establish a colony under the snow, until we get a melt, or rain, then they have to start over again. Good for other wildlife though!! S.

The problem is people think that since there is a grease nipple on there, that they should grease it every time they move the trailer..............which leads to overfilling, and blowing out the seal. I have the EZ lubes that put grease from the center of the axle, to the inside bearing, but in the two years I've had this axle, I haven't touched them. I pop the cap off once or twice a season and make sure the grease isn't milky, but that's about it. Your better off to be light on grease, than too much. If you can't see any grease on the inside, or outside of your wheels, you don't have to add any. I've never blown a bearing on a trailer. I've blown tires, and snapped axles, but the bearings always hold up. I swear, its because I just leave them alone, and let them do thier thing. s.

Question to March/April boaters/fisherman.
Sinker replied to archie_james_c's topic in General Discussion
You'll have no probs archie. Just make sure you drain it each time, and make sure its peeing when you start it. My pee line will freeze sometimes, but my water pump is still cooling the motor. As long as I have hot water coming out my exaust, she's pumping. After a few minutes of running, the pisser will start flowing too. The water that comes out the pee line is just overflow, or an indicator. You have nothing to worry about. Play safe, its still cold out there. S. -
Take a picture. I have a feeling you do not have voles. S.

keep your feet dry in the late season of ice fishing
Sinker replied to ah_long's topic in General Discussion
If you fish, you should have some water proof boots. S. -
There is so many right answers to your question. YOU really have to check the boats out, sit in them, pretend your fishing, and see what works, and what doesn't, then weight the pros/cons of each. Only YOU can decide what YOU want. I have a tiller. This boat is coming to the grave with me, but there are a couple times a year, where a full windshield/console would have been nice. I'm still, hands down, a tiller guy. Once I wieght the pros/cons, it always comes out ahead. you guys who complain about cold/wet/hot/sunny weather shouldn't be fisherman. I'm going to call the whaaaaambulance.... S.

Are you sure your allowed to use your boat in that lake?? I know some lakes where boats are not allowed, in order to stop the transfer of invasive species, and the signs say the same as what your seeing. Doesn't matter if you have a gas or electric motor, your boat isn't allowed in the lake. S.

I store all my stuff full of gas with stabilizer. NEVER had a fuel issue. I don't like leaving stuff empty, just leaves space for "bad" things to get in. Nowadays, all my machines get shell V-power for fuel. I don't care what the cost of gas is, that's all I use. S.

Anyone tried the lund sport track downrigger bracket ??
Sinker replied to BFSC Kevin's topic in General Discussion
Do you not have enough space on the gunnels to mount tracks? I like the tracks, easy install, easy to remove riggers/rodholders, and they are tough. Get the longest ones you can fit, they come in handy for all kinds of stuff. S.
