  4. Funny-no mention about how the fishing went, just a video of someone burning gas. Any fish caught or was it just a boatride ??
  5. Hey all. I have 2 new TR's. One works fine and the other won't stay up, it just submerges. Props won't turn. Basically useless as a topwater. Anyone have this problem?

  10. Your friend would not have had to travel to quebec for a court date-unless he was to plead not guilty. Pleading guilty by mail is acceptable.
  11. Roy- " Probably " ?????????
  12. MH's best shows are when he is fishing with Lazarus. That dh'er with 2 50's a few season's back was quite memorable. And then there was...... " Jim the 45"er on this side is nice but the one you got on there could eat this one...."
  13. Well now-another good use for an IKEA bag.
  14. yeah, gators too. There is a canal that goes right through the Epcot parking lot. I remember once wildlife services removing a big 10 fter. total concrete jungle. Careful.
  15. "1002 walleye with plenty of fish over 25 inches with the biggest being 9.6lbs local and 10.5lbs from quinte..." I was down your way once or twice this past Fall and on my VERY FIRST CAST I hooked up with and landed a 9.85 lb walleye. Puts things in perspective.
  16. Thanks for the nice comments. The whole muskie thing is so thrilling. Even if you LOSE that big one it's still "almost" as good as holding it up. I only recently started casting for them more when I used to only troll.Hearing that reel scream is like Mozart to others but getting them like that is real cool.Lucky for me she was big.Depending on where you fish ( I happen to have it good where I live ) any one that bites could be that fish that you talk about forever.
  17. While fishing with a board member this Sept I experienced a thrill few ever will. I was fishing the St Lawrence and casting for muskies. The conditions were perfect for fishing, light winds and overcast skies with sunny breaks. I had been casting a drop off that has been known to hold a fish or two but action was a bit slow. I was reminded by my partner that fish in this area have a tendency to show up last second so focus was important from when the bait hits the water to the second it comes out. Moving your eyes from the bait coming in could result in heartbreak at any time. After a few hours and many MANY casts things just happened in slow motion. Bait was coming in to the boat and it was a half second from being out of the water for the next cast when The Queen showed up with her mouth on the bait right by my feet. Had I not been focused I might not even have seen her. The rod loaded up with weight. The fight was on and I had to follow this fish around the boat many times until she swam in the net. I have a few big ones to my credit, a few low 30's, a couple of 35's and a 38 lber but they all came trolling. She taped at 53 x a lot and cradle weighed at 42 lbs. This moment was quite special from hook up to release and it may never be beat. And then a few weeks ago I was also fishing the river for smallies and on my very first cast of the day I felt weight, good weight. Not smallie kind of weight. Good headshakes with a few runs resulted in my PB walleye at just under 10 lbs. Gotta love Fall fishing. As always, pics to follow.
  18. I am confused about the setup. Those drop shot weights are designed to not get snagged. I am thinking the opposite for a fb head jig?????
  19. Have a buddy who likes to go as deep as possible into the season so when I got the call off we went. Fished near Montreal . I have fished in Dec for bass before but it was a real slow day with 15 or less fish but yesterday was a whole different story. Incredibly surface temps peaked at 44 f so we were expecting active fish. Also amazing was that late morning saw us shedding clothing and we were out in hoodies. Clouds took over and everything went back on shortly after. We were on fish right away.Three's and four's with one or two over five by days end. I started on plastics while buddy was on different plastics. Both held their own but his were the ticket. I switched up and at one point I landed 10 fish in as meany casts. It was awesome. I couldn't believe the boat launch was empty and the fishing that good, IN DEC !! I guess most people were home trolling the couch. We finished the day with 35/40 fish with half that many lost as well. With next weeks forecast it looks like you may get one more report out of me yet.
  20. Roy, Lumen here in mtl stocks them as well. One location is by the old Pare Lanes (Dec/Jtalon)
  21. Roy,if you visit Plattsburg every so often Lowes has them in the Plumbing dept
  22. This was my brother At Dieppe, Quietly a hero Who gave his life Like a gift, Withholding nothing. His Youth..his love.. His enjoyment of being alive.. His future, like a book With half the pages still uncut. This was my brother At Dieppe. The one who built me a doll house When I was seven. Complete to the last small picture frame. Nothing forgotten. He was awfully good at fixing things, At stepping into the breach when he was needed. That's what he did at Dieppe; He was needed. And even death must have been a little shamed At his eagerness
