  1. Thanks for doing up the report Cliff. Good company, lots of laughs and talks of future adventures scattered with interruptions of fish biting our lines sure makes for a great day on the water. One that was long over do.....well it have been 6 days since I had been on the water and I was having withdrawals. lol!! Attire was thought of but just to damn cold to consider. lol! Let me know how your schedule is Phil and we'll plan for something soon. Thanks Joe....LOL! So true Bunk and thanks.
  2. Awesome day of fishing!
  3. Sounds like a great day on the water. Good stuff!
  4. That's a nice fish and a great day on the water for you both.
  5. Thoughts and prayers to your family Bruce and a congrats to your niece and the soon to be new addition to your family. All the best for a speedy recovery for your wife, sounds like today's visit went well and she is in good hands.
  6. Nice shots Bernie. Mike....what happens at Bernie's stays at Bernie's....damn screen door. I didn't take many shots either but here's a few. Sunset on Friday as we anticipate the opening of the season. First eye of the season and the release. Mike with a nice pike that was taken during nap time for some. My boat in it's happy place. And the last night sunset shot. It was a great fish that night with Mike. Lots of cigars, a couple in the slot and a few keeper sizes. Good times. Another great trip in the books and can't wait till the fall.
  7. I'll have a couple of pics up this evening. Thanks for the report Joe!
  8. Don't run the motor with the constant on. (Switch on the side of the foot pedal) Have it set to run only when you foot is on the switch. That way your foot can come off the pedal while you tend to the fish and the boat will not be doing figure 8's.
  9. Yes I do Lew. The match to your pic would be this one The one above was take last year at Bernie's. Quite the coincidence that we took the pics we did and when we did.
  10. Can't get enough of this view.
  11. With the long weekend coming up I'm sure a lot of us are thinking of "throwing out all kinds of fishing line" and a Million Vacations.
  12. I've found the same. Ran braid all last year and it was never really a problem.
  13. I would personally never take a chance and use PT wood against my aluminum boat. I wouldn't trust any sealer and certainly not a porous carpet to keep those chemicals away from the hull. But that's just me. The first set of bunks on my trailer lasted about 7 years and were just pine or spruce with carpet stapled onto them. I replaced them with the same, 4 years later and doing fine and no harsh chemicals again the hull. An easy enough job to do every few years and have some piece of mind. Just have the bunks ready to go and when at the launch just swap them out. X2 on lots of stainless steel staples to hold the carpet in place.
  14. Good fishing Rich in some crazy conditions.
  15. Terrible news. My heart felt sympathies go out to them during this incredibly difficult time.
  16. Roloff does seemed a bit perplexed as to where the fish went. Great to see some open water up there for you finally Simon. Should have the boat in by the weekend.
  17. LOL!! They have done better then most would have thought after that first game. Fantastic series.
  18. We all know how irritating flight delays and cancellations can be. It would piss me off if my plane was cancelled and on top of that my team just lost one of the biggest games of the year. I certainly wouldn't sleep very well.
  19. The fact that Boston could not fly out of Toronto last night, do to a mechanical problem, will only have Boston that much more tired I would guess. Every little bit helps.... OR They got all the rest they need.......we'll find out in a few hours.
  20. Awesome!! :worthy:
  21. You can say that again!!
  22. I could be completely wrong on this but I thought that the canal systems (Trent - Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay and Rideau - Kingston to Ottawa) both fell under the Federal Government (Parks Canada). So these Federal regulations would apply on those bodies of water, would they not? I've only ever seen the MNR and OPP patrolling those waterways.
  23. Congrats on the fish Lloyd!!! Certainly a great way to start the season. Planning on going down there in a couple of weeks Will, hopefully the fish are cooperative and the mossy mung is gone. Nice to hear that some fish slime got in all your boats.
