  1. I just got back from my trout trip in Quebec.....black flies were ridiculous, even out in the middle of the lake. Fishing started off slow but picked up by Wednesday.....No bows or browns in the remote lakes but I managed to get my limit in Quebec Reds (Char) on the larger lake that our cabin was on....biggest Char was 2.6lbs. First time going up to this outfitter so I think I'll give it another try next year in June as opposed to May.

  2. Muskie habitat in the 'Geen is the exact opposite of where you'd fish steelhead. Dead slow frog water, find a big tree in the water, good bet you'll find a muskie. Bass are prolific.

  3. You won't regret spending a few more $ if your main motor quits and you need to limp back to port with the TM. Speaking from experience.

  4. how do you fish? Ask yourself honestly, do you go out for a couple of hours when it’s calm and sunny out? or are you like a lot of us on here that are fish crazy lol

  6. RE: Charging when offgrid. Get a small generator like a Yamaha or Honda and hook it up to the onboard charger and run it at night. Solar isn't going to make a dent, and usually you want to charge at night.

  10. Very nice, beautiful Char. The last couple days I was wondering when we would see some pics from your adventure. Since moving out west I sure don't miss the black flies and mosquitoes.

  11. Blew up my lower end in October while in snug harbour on Georgian bay during a wind storm…hour and a half on the trolling motor on top speed …the 2 group 31’s were fried but god was I happy to make it safety.

  16. Yes...a lot folks use lithiums for off- grid camping/RV's. The solar panels would be fairly substantial though. However, a generator will certainly work.

  17. Smallmouth in the river below Sauble Falls. Upstream even better Bass and some small Pike, especially in the feeder lakes (which also have LM) to the north. If you have a canoe or kayak, a float trip down the Rankin R. (trib of Sauble R.) can be very rewarding. Musky in the middle section of the Saugeen is your closest best bet (again a float trip will get you to the best spots). SMB throughout, and some big Cats in the lower river.
