Everytime I get on this mark,it,s the same thing. Bait bait bait. This morning a couple of nice surprises though. 2 nice jumbos snatching the high hook blood worm. Then the whities came in. 3 swings and miss. Then finally one was so hungry,he nearly swallowed the meegs. Nice morning for sure. Snow still a pita,and calling for more this weekend. DAMIT. Ole well,slow my roll. Whities tight to the bottom Nice perch

Who needs crappie jigs???? Got my order in this morning. My guy does quality work and uses great hooks. I am stocked up with 350 1/16, same in 1/32. He even went out of his way for me and brought in flat black for my bug jigs. Ugli Boys Baits. Thanks Bruce for stepping up. Also received my craft fur.

I've had this idea in my head now for some time and finally set my feet on the path to making it a reality last weekend. It's not like anything I've seen in the rod building world thus far and I'm hoping there's a market for it. Yes it's somewhat blingy for sure but not too gaudy in my opinion. I've shown it here on a mock up handle loosely assembled on a length of all thread. Your thought's welcomed. Thanks for looking.

I buy a cat toy at Dollarama for $2 that is the same as that multi color hair. Snip out the binding thread and you get a good piece like that to tie streamers and tails. I don't think mine has blue/purple though. Take a look in the hair section in there too. The sell packs of small hair elastics in a bunch of different sizes widths and colors - most packs are nicely mixed. These make great body winding for those ice bugs, caddis flies too

Seeing the youngster lying on the ice reminded me of a time when I was Splake fishing in forty ft. of water on Georgian Bay. After catching a few I headed in. As I got near shore I thought I'd drill a hole out of curiosity. The ice was about 8" thick and less than two feet of water beneath it. I lied on the ice to see down and dropped in a little Cleo. It was only a matter of seconds and about a six lb. rainbow came in like a torpedo. It startled me so that I swear my whole body came off the ice and went skyward. As I jumped, I inadvertently hooked the rainbow. Happy Days.
